Relax. As I stated in my post I just wanted to be sure anyone reading your post got jerked back to the reality of what a 50/600 season actually demonstrates as opposed to how you presented it. I'll let them use that information to draw whatever educated conclusions they wish.
It's not a tactic, but thousands of UT fans think AR isn't good enough to be on the field, that, my friend, is a fact. This all started out by me saying that "I, orangetanker11, think he is a turd." Now, that also, my friend, is an opinion. I never said "since I said he is a turd, it must be fact, and you all must refer to him now on as Turd Rogers." I never said that.
Byrd, Murphy, Briscoe, Ingram, and Massaquoi all have the ability to stretch the field and threaten the defense downfield. AR doesn't have this.
I agree that the problem last year was our offensive line, and the "Clawfense." However, if we are going to be an elite team again, I don't believe we can have mediocre talent such as AR seeing significant playing time.
I've tried very hard to remain patient with you but I now have to ask... Are you really this dense? It is not "demonstrably and empirically incorrect statement." It is how I feel about the "turd."

You can "feel" any way you want but that does not change the cold hard fact that your point has been proven (ad nauseum) to be demonstrably and empirically incorrect. Live with it or be open minded enough to change your opinion... but your "feelings" in no way shape what happens to be TRUE.
Maybe I should have clarified myself earlier, but all of this "proof" and "facts" that you and others have presented, I already know. I know he had a 50-600 season. I know his rankings among other SEC schools and leaders. However, I still think he is a mediocre talent and shouldnt' play for this team. It's not lack of information that brought me to my decision, it's by watching him play.
Now THAT is, at least, a workable opinion. Not the easiest to defend on any basis OTHER than opinion mind you, but it can stand as is on what merit is set forth. If you had started with such an "opinion" things would have gone a great deal smoother.

Statistically Rogers holds a slight lead in production over the last couple years but only by a small margin. I would consider them pretty close as receivers. Having said that Rogers seems to garner more laurels with things like attitude, blocking, reads etc.
That's cool, and it wasn't you, but someone was claiming that it's a statistical fact that Rogers is better because he had 100 more yards than Briscoe in 2007
So you're saying thousands love him? Look, you might enjoy not going to a bowl game or going to the Outback Bowl, but I would much rather be in a BCS bowl game or National Championship.
Overall I'd have to agree with you. While in an all-out-technical statement AR's #'s were better I'd have to consider +/- 5ypg a wash unless one were really pushing the kind of intangibles I listed earlier.

kills me that austin rogers gets singled out when he's the only reciever on the team that has proven anything at all even though jones has played a lot and moore has played his fair share and neither have done anything except for moore's 2 or 3 deep balls as far as raw talent no rogers isnt as good as either except in straight line speed which u could argue he is one of the fastest recievers we have but there is way more to being a good reciever other than the raw talent
