Austin Rogers

Everyone except AR.

Okay then. Listen carefully. With that opinion, would you say, stay with me now, that Josh Briscoe (#81) is a better wide receiver than Austin Rogers? Answer carefully, this determines your credibility for the rest of your stay on this board. No pressure.

Read this slowly, maybe the letters are blurring together..... E V E R Y O N E E X C E P T A R. Does #81 play on this team? If you answered yes, then you answered your own question.

Okay well I've come to the conclusion that you are incapable of understanding the game of football. I do not believe that you are 27 years of age, and I will never attempt to debate anything with you again. It's like trying to convince a small child that there is no Santa Claus.

Thank you. You're doing me a favor. I get tired of repeating myself.

Let me provide you with a few definitions of the word productive:

-producing or capable of producing (especially abundantly)

-yielding positive results.

I'm not going to say he can produce abundantly. I'm not going to say he yields positive results.
No one here to my knowledge has yet said that you couldn't be in denial all you want....

56 catches and over 600 yds placed AR in the top 15 receivers in the SEC 2 years ago. That IS PRODUCING ABUNDANTLY to any reasonable, rationale person.
To be productive, you have to do things thinks consistently. My friend, AR can't.
He did things consistent enough to catch 56 balls in 2007. Still not impressed? That tied him for 7th in the SEC for receptions with the likes of Andre Caldwell, Jacob Tamme, Dickey Lyons, and Briscoe.

He avg'd over 11 ypc. He finished 13th in total receiving yardage which isn't bad considering Lucas Taylor had 1000 yds. He had at least 2 catches against every opponent except ULL.

Catches/yardage/ypc in key games:
UF- 4/64/16

UGA- 5/61/12.2
Bama- 4/52/13
USC- 3/36/12
Ark- 6/62010.33
Wisc- 3/37/12.3

Now I know that statistical facts do not faze you... but hopefully this will let others see the value of your "opinion".

Oh, AR's reception avg and ypg were higher for SEC opponents and for teams with a winning record than his avg.

No it's not. No.

Not an opinion... a statistical fact.

Relax man. This is a guy that will watch the Olympic finals for the 100m and state the dude finishing last is slow, nevermind the fact that last place was still a 10.03. His argument would be that first place was a 9.69 so, clearly, 10.03 was slow. World class but...y,know...slow.

He really tipped his hand when he said it'd take AR to have one of the best seasons ever by any Vol (73 rec/1200yds/10td) to not be a "turd".

If the argument was that even though AR can clearly produce as an SEC receiver (something as factually demonstrable as water being wet) he would prefer to see a full rotation of of WR's that are more dynamic and posing a greater threat to take it the distance on any given play we wouldn't be here. Instead, he can absolutely dismiss, with malice, production that would have LEAD some SEC teams in production and been no worse than 2nd on the majority of them.

Take my que and let it go.

It is slow compared to his competition.

He would need to have a season like that not to be a "turd" to me. I don't care what everyone else thinks of him.
