The recruiting forum listed his measurements and then realized they are with shoes. So, technically, he is about 6'6". But, obviously, everyone plays in shoes.
Being measured in shoes gives u no more than half an inch. So, being listed at 6' 7.5" = at the least, 6'7. U do not gain an inch and a half from basketball (high-top Nikes) shoes unless u are wearing heels or possibly work boots ( and I really doubt boots even give u a full inch). The most important one is that he isn’t even 6’6”.
Maybe if he came back with the body fat and worked on his outside game. I can’t see actually pulling the trigger on guy that it shorter than many twos and threes.
Except that he wasn’t pulling primary duty on those guys. Kyle always grabbed the big. Hell, one of the big story lines was how good a job Kyle did on Reid. Are we just making stuff up now?Doesn't matter that much, I've seen him guard people much taller and bigger than him and more than hold his own. Azabuki from Kansas, Naz Reid, Shittu, all people who he had a lot of success against. Draymond green is only 6-7, Paul Millsap is 6-8, Jordan bell is 6-7. He had good drills and a skill set most others don't have.
They provided the measurements with and without shoes. This isn’t opinion. It’s black and white.Being measured in shoes gives u no more than half an inch. They measure both, shoes and no shoes. The numbers are what they are, but his size isn't any more of a concern than it was before the combine. He didn't come in shorter than expected, so no real change there. If anything, it's probably good that he at least measured in where he did, as most often the listed heights by schools are fudged a bit.Being measured in shoes gives u no more than half an inch. I hope grant goes early and has a long NBA career. I’m skeptical and have some facts to support it.

The difference in GW and PJ Washington are their respective wingspans and PJW’s proven ability to shoot outside. That, and pure pedigree, are why there are fewer questions about his ability to handle the PF position. PJW has a crazy wingspan for a 6-8 player. Something like 7’-2.25”.He measured as the shortest post prospect, no real shock...only 3/4 of an inch shorter than PJ Washington, we just saw Kyler Murray go #1 overall when people were saying he was too small, seems like scouts are starting to put more into how you perform and less into height as of late.

That height measurement is a positive for him, not a negative. That is probably an inch taller than expected. It is certainly not going to cause any teams to drop him down from where they had him slotted prior to getting measured. Wingspan hurts him a little bit. But not devastating. Standing reach is more applicable anyways because wingspan takes into account the width of your chest which does not come into play when blocking shots. All players are measured with shoes on and off. I’ll let you guess which one that is. Want to guess how that measures up with other post players?
Not good.
