This story sure came and went like a fart in the wind. I must admit, if he was a take for us, and we simply couldn't secure it, that is disappointing with the only competition being from Colorado St. I doubt any of us know, or will know the real story.
I understand some hesitancy on the part of recruits to want to see Tyndall coach in the SEC before jumping on board, but we seemed to have everything in our favor for a PG to potentially waltz in and get major minutes, especially for a guy like Scott who couldn't possibly have too many options at this stage.
If we passed on him, I feel the staff must have believed getting a waiver and immediate eligibility would be tough this close to the season, and felt the investment was perhaps not worth the trouble and risk of being snubbed by the NCAA or SEC again. I really hope that's the case.
