i never said he wasn't a good college QB and i never said crompton should start. i said he would never play in the nfl. your always complaining that somebody is putting words in your mouth, geez lay off the crack pipe. i can't recall either saying ainge cost us the bowl game, the whole team sucked.:salute:

I think the "Ainge is going nowhere" comment was taken as an insult. Not necessarily just a forecast of his professional future.

Also, I could care less whether or not he plays on Sundays. I wish him the best, but I really just hope that he finishes strong at UT.

Seems the only reason Casey ever got all that hate is because he had the misfortune of following Peyton and a national tittle-winning QB.

being a west coaster milo. do you really think that was the only reason? do you not think his being a california boy had anything to do w/ it? i've come to believe it was a combo of the two, but i want to know you're opinion (or any west coaster's for that matter)

I don't think Tee Martin would have been much more successful in Casey's situation. It's hard to win too much when Randy Sanders is calling your plays and our defense has several down years. Also, we had nearly the worst special teams in the nation during his UT career. Not many QBs can overcome all that.

i don't fault rick for anything. he did all he could do w/ his talent. i fault fulmer and co. for not having competent backup qbs.
