Ahsoka (August 22nd) Disney+

I enjoyed the episode, wasn't bothered by the ship wing fight and actually thought it was kind of neat.

Excited with what I've seen so far.
So did I. I think they did it perfectly. Unlike spacewalk Leia they actually had her put on a space suit, and mag boots to stick to the ship. I've always wondered why we'd never seen something like that before.

Some colleges offer Clingon as an elective language?

That's when you've reached douche canoe status.
I guess…wouldn’t know. I still think it’s pretty neat learning a language and cultural history that doesn’t exist. 😏

It sucks to never have gotten to see what Luke done after Return of the Jedi to only find out that he did nothing and let the First Order rise up while he retired on a planet drinking milk from alien teets!

The only one in this show I really like is the female sith (I guess she's sith?) apprentice. Probably because she rarely opens her mouth, giving her little chance to recite terrible dialog.

Also I find it strange that despite the show being called "Ahsoka", very little of it up to this point seems to actually be about her. In fact, nobody feels like a lead character in this show. It just feels like an ensemble cast with everyone kind of getting equal screen time.

I'm also starting to grow weary of Rosario Dawson's stoic portrayal of Ahsoka. That's not who she was at all in The Clone Wars. Despite constantly reminding us that she's not a jedi, she certainly conducts herself like a prequel trilogy era jedi.

She was also a kid in the Clone Wars. She has done a lot of growing and in that time saw the Jedi order fall and found out her Master became Darth Vader.

She did a lot of growing Clone Wars and Rebels. Probably the most developed character in Star Wars.

So she developed into someone with no personality?

He tried to rebuild the Jedi for the first 20 years. It even showed him on the Boba Fett show building a new temple. Unless the budget cuts at Disney stop it, we are going to see more and more of what Luke was doing sprinkled in.

I like the show enough I guess but honestly I'm starting to wear thin of the SW shows. Andor is far and away the best, and The Mandalorian was good at first but it's starting to drag imo, Boba Fett was ok, and Kenobi was sadly overall not good at all. I'm still mad they did my man Ewan wrong again.

How dare you say Kenobi wasn’t good lol no, I pretty much agree with all of what you said. I would be down for a show based on a completely different era like the Darth Revan days or the High Republic time period. It’s past time for Disney to let the movie characters / Skywalker era characters go, though.

Bro..this can't be said enough. I always wanted to see what Luke did. Read a few books by Tim Zahn when I was younger but have been disappointed by his appearances thus far. A Luke Skywalker series, written well, would kill. Its like Disney wants to do everything BUT that.

Shows story so far is pretty damn good if you ask me (which you didnt). The biggest issue I have seen is for folks who have never seen the cartoons that this show is based off of. I haven't. I had to google who TF half these people were (except Thrawn - thanks Tim Zahn)

As long as they keep showing General Syndulla "walking away"..I'll be a happy camper.

Kenobi would've been better as a movie, ala Rogue One. The Vader/Kenobi moments in the show are truly fantastic! I would've loved to see that on the big screen!

Ahsoka has 2 lightsabers but only uses 1 against these fallen Jedi? Doesnt seem like she is going full throttle. Maybe they cannot get the choreography right or something?

It is 100% a Sabine show.
Which is too bad, because I actually like everything other than Sabine. It isn’t even the actress, it’s the writing for her.
Bad guys going to get Thrawn back (and Ezra)… good
Ashoka trying to stop return of Thrawn….good
Night sister witches and potential ulterior motives…. Interesting
Live action WBW with Anakin….awesome
Angsty Sabine…..crap
Trying to make Sabine the new “no-force Rey”…. crap
By the end of Rebels, Sabine was leading along with Hera. I get she goes off with Ashoka and “offscreen stuff” happened after but the character has regressed to just being like Season 1 Ezra. Nobody liked Season 1 Ezra.

It sucks because the show SHOULD have been great and it legit has some cool/awesome moments. But it has way too many silly moments and writing that just doesn't make any sense even in the SW world. After all that time this was in development, I don't know why they went with a storyline that had Obi-Wan rescuing a kid Leia. I get they were trying to tie back in some characters and they wanted another Obi-Wan/DV duel but in the end it was a very bad choice. They shoudl have gone with the original plans which was it was contained to Tattooine and it was Obi-Wan helping with local problems with the Sand People. They still could have had him interact with Owen and Luke, still could have had the Inquistors show up and battle some, cut the stupid mad padawan storyline, had Obi-Wan have some flashbacks with Anakin and if you wanted have some scenes where Vader is flashing back as a connection as well. End withe OW connecting to Qui-Gonn.

people don't have to watch the show, and then post about it
