The initial report back in the winter was bad IIRC but I don't recall it being this specific.

Because they didn't report the football gpa since it was so low - they left a vague report if you remember.
And if the overall gpa was a 2.06 and the players on Scholarship had a 1.9 it's not hard to believe so many are on probation.
Assuming there are kids in academic trouble. We won't argue about how many. Does a kid on academic probation for 2 semesters get the summer sessions to get things in order or are they dismissed at the end of this semester from school?

The university isn't going to release an official statement on that - big difference on being on probation and being ruled ineligible to play.. they would've released that back when they published the vague article about the football gpa being above a 2.0 but below a 2.4..

Where are you seeing the more specific info.
I know we all want proof for what he is saying but reading the article it is clear to me what he is saying is very possible if not probably. Walk on count toward gpa almost always raising the team gpa so a team gpa of less that 2 is very probable.
