Academic report from GVX....

VFL might not be helping in the classroom so much, but it has been a while since we've had any arrests (I'm knocking on wood as we speak). Maybe that's a coincidence, but maybe not.

The same thing was being said by lame just before the pilot debacle. Its just coincidence IMO but maybe your correct.

Good question. I also would like to know how these numbers compare to years past.

Many questions.
-Who are the players.
-Is the curriculum harder.
-Is there a classroom check.
-Are there really 30 scholarship football players on academic probation as defined by the the standards.
-Did the number of players leaving school affect the overall number. As in, does an incomplete make a 4.0 into a 2.0

Many male athletes over the years have been in jeopardy of not being qualified and need summer classes to be qualified. That's nothing new. Not sure about the details though, and if the stats given are correct, I would assume we would lose schollies, would we not?

It is my experience that players leaving the program would count toward team gpa and they count toward APR for certain. So yes scholarships could be lost if APR is poor enough. What was the latest APR score we had?

Google is pretty silent on the matter, except for links to this thread.

Interesting... Very, very interesting...

This. Don't know why people are just assuming this troll's information is correct

It's all over local radio stations and other message boards today smart ass - but it's not like this is out of left field - people have warned y'all for months that this team is really struggling academically and a large amount and possibly some key players could be in trouble.

You seriously just typed that out and hit submit.

Fellers, let's not get outdone here. I want to see a link that proves this is actually the case first. I have a hard time believing it is. Never in my life heard of a team potentially losing around 30 players during one offseason due to academic probation. We know for a fact that Miller has been temporarily suspended due to academic problems. What is Dooley going to do? Temporarily suspend each one of these 30 players one at a time? Makes no sense. I smell pure bs crap here. I get so tired of people with nothing better going on in their lives than to stir up crap about our program. Crap on you, sir!

I think this could be where we miss pat summit the most. The womens bball scores always help out the overall average.

So the kids on probation were on it because of last spring and this fall semesters?

Summer and fall - but maybe just fall for some of them because your cumulative gpa going below a 2.0 puts you on probation.

No - its not talking about this semester.

This is what is confusing to me. Wouldn't this have to be referring to grades that came out for the Fall Semester and the Summer before it? Hard to believe this info is just now getting out there.

Brent and Josh said so. It's for real, exactly like Bass presented it to you. And other messages boards say it too.

Assuming there are kids in academic trouble. We won't argue about how many. Does a kid on academic probation for 2 semesters get the summer sessions to get things in order or are they dismissed at the end of this semester from school?

Because the university just recently released a vague report on the gpas from the fall.
