A weird fact about yourself

When I was a kid, I was standing on/kick pushing my big wheel and I wrecked. I fell on the fleshy outside part of my left knee onto the pavement. To this day, when I completely bend my knee, I have this little alien nub that pops out like half an inch, and it's really squishy. It totally freaks decent folks out.

Everytime I enter a hotel room or house, I count my steps in case the lights go out.

Uncomfortable in open areas. I'm very comfortable in the treelines or closest to the walls lining the street.

I also always face towards the entrance to a restaurant

I do that too. My wife accommodates it without me even asking. Especially at this point in my unoffensive, sedentary old guy life, I have no reason to be that way (if I ever really did) but old discomforts die hard.
