A Question:

I feel like we may be forgetting some that while we are probably the 8 or 9 best team in our conference you have to remember that the top 6 in our confrence is much better than any other.

I think we would sit comfortably in the middle to top half of almost any other conference maybe except the Pac 10.

We have had 2 top 10 classes back to back so we have a lot of young talent we just need the experience and good QB play and we could be a solid team (solid not great by anymeans).

Give me a schedule of

NC St
@USF
Kansas
Arizona St
Baylor
@Northwestern
Clemson
@Maryland
Purude
WVU
@OK St.
UCLA

I don't think it would be a stretch that we would go 10-2 or 11-1
i count 2 losses just by the last 2 games alone.

On topic, I think we may be closer to 30 than we are to 20...but that isn't saying much. That depends on how far "above average" UT's defense is able to rise. I think Wilcox will exceed expectations.

I hope you are correct about Wilcox. I want to see a nasty defense in Orange and White.

I'd peg it around 20-25, but we won't crack the top 25 b/c of our schedule. The early season losses put us behind the 8-ball in that regard.

I actually have moderately high expectations for Wilcox. One of the pros I always come back to on Dooley and why I think it's at least possible for him to succeed here is that his style of being a CEO and surrounding himself with great assistants is much more possible here than at Tech. (That's not to say I don't have my cons as well.)

Very true. Other than Hinshaw, I like all his assistants.

There is a reason Jim Harbaugh wouldn't talk to any big programs...he is waiting in the grass for Rich-Rod to get fired and he can take that job. Michigan fans really want him too.
I like Rich Rod, but Harbaugh would be an upgrade. In my opinion, he's the perfect guy to turn around the series with OSU.

On opening weekend, 25-30 teams are probably better than us. We can move up or down entirely depending on if we stay healthy.

They probably are in the top 3rd but you probably struggle in math if you think 40 is top 3rd.
The question was how many of the other BCS teams are you confident Tennessee will be better than. Your answer: 40+. That means you are placing Tennessee somewhere near the Top 25. That's close enough to the top third. Not my fault you are unable to read and answer a simple question without making a fool of yourself.

Major conference power rankings

1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. Ohio State
4. Florida
5. Oklahoma
6. Texas
7. UNC
8. Nebraska
9. Wisconsin
10. Arkansas
11. South Carolina
12. Miami
13. Iowa
14. Arizona
15. USC
16. Auburn
17. va tech
18. LSU
19. Oregon state
20. ga tech
21. Penn State
22. Fla state
23. Tennessee

so the answer to your question 22. Just outside the top 3rd.

Yeah I made a fool of my self because you think 40 makes us top 3rd.

As I suspected, you really are this dumb. Let's deconstruct this for you. The question was how many teams would Tennessee be better than. Your answer: 40+. Thus, you had Tennessee at least 24th. Now, you're babbling something about 40th being in the top third. You're obviously mentally deficient enough to have confusion about what you're trying to say. I'm sure that's par for your course.

It's been par for his course in all his posts so far.

Let me break this down for you reject. If there are 66 teams in order for tennessee to be in the top 3rd, they would have to be 22nd or higher. Learn basic math and then come talk to me.
