This team is going to be able to hang with anyone. The talent and depth are there and the core has a year of experience in the system.

I'll be going there to see them for sure. I'm moving back to Tennessee in two weeks, and I'll be living there for the first time in 37 years. The last time I saw an LVs game in Knoxville, they were still playing in Stokley Center!

Think it is fifty fifty no matter who starts. They will be the top two probably won't be no more than a couple minutes difference on how much they play. I think we'll still see Cooper take the point guard position in some games in the offensive court some of the time as well. The way Pauldo can shoot and pass Kaniya better be working her offensive game especially from the three. Down the stretch I can see Pauldo taking the lead at point even though it starts our even early in the season.

The good old days. Did you see them play in Alumni Gym? My first game as a tot was, interestingly, Lady Vols vs. Marshall in Alumni Gym. We lost 😞

Been some talk about players getting a fifth season and Spencer coming back if it happens. Supposed to know June 15th. I don't look for it to happen, but there is that. Judd has not committed anywhere is in no hurry don't know if she still has an offer with us. That is about it were set to go.

She would be a huge add back to the roster. She’s the one player I’d love to see another year in the system. Hope it happens. Just like with Gainey or ZZ with the men’s teams another year would be good for our teams.

I would appreciate knowing the rule - re a four year player by going into the portal may/maynot get a fifth year of eligibility. As I understand several of the LVs did that. thanks

I saw them in that gym and, in fact, played a lot of basketball in there. Rupp hated the gym and one night he has his team come on the court with miner's
hats on because the lighting was so bad. I have a lot of memories about that building.

She is a solid player, but on the Tenn roster she would have been just one of many in that size and role, not a big loss imo. On the LV roster, that would have taken away PT for some key players in that size/role that are already on the roster and need more PT.

If they give a fifth year of PLAY to everyone then most teams will be getting back some great players….I would imagine any player not drafted or kept on a WNBA roster would qualify? This could cut both ways, might help your team but might help other teams more. I’m on record as being against 5th year of play, the COVID 5th year thing was too much already. Five years to play four should remain the standard in college, beyond that it just gets ridiculous where players are camping in college for the money now. What is next, six years? We have already seen some of the BS with the Covid exemption and waivers combined. Enough already, and yes I understand that the junior college ruling is in play.
