I disagree. Prospects, college coaches, HS basketball analysts, handlers, and their families put a lot of that stuff out there on social media as a recruiting tool just to make Tennessee look bad because they knew people would believe that kind of stuff.
I heard something interesting when Zia Cooke told the Pauldo twins months before they committed to Tennessee when they sought her out for advice pertaining to NIL and recruiting; she simply said don’t go to a school where coaches promise you anything. Zia Cooke told the twins Coach Staley didn’t promise her anything and that’s why she went to SC. I can see how many of these players outside of one or two that Tennessee supposedly loss out on due to NIL were promised deals they haven’t ever seen.
Coach Caldwell, Coach Lazo, and Coach Tubner signed 5 HS players in the Top 50 including 3 McDAAs seven months on the job without dangling a bag of money no matter what anyone believes.
So again, much of the rumor has been debunked if not proven to be as Zia Cooke told the twins, “ false promises to get you to commit”.
Odd statement given that Zia Cooke has one of the biggest NIL deals in WCBB.

Zia Cooke, one of the highest paid college basketball players, talks about impact of sponsorship deals
Opendorse released data last month that found women basketball players are the second highest paid college athletes.

I think you are confusing something like a coach making promises about playing time with NIL $, the latter is not something that most coaches directly negotiate. Also, all SC WCBB players are paid 25K per year via the team's NIL deal.

South Carolina women's basketball announces NIL deal for $25,000 per player in 2022-23 season
South Carolina women's basketball players will make $25,000 each this season thanks to an NIL deal with The Garnet Trust and NOCAP Sports.

I am not sure why you are so committed to this fiction that players and their families don't care about NIL deals but all available evidence argues to the contrary
