I've kinda adjusted what to expect from the backcourt considering regardless of another add, the point guard (Gillespie) is going to be your premier scorer and not an off-ball guard. They seem to want to add a guard and wouldn't mind that at all, but imho if I was building the team, it would depend on Ament fit. If he's just going to be on the perimeter as some are saying, would like a true forward who can play the 3 or 4. Ideally would not want Cade Phillips in that role. If Ament is going to be that forward type rather than a wing, it definitely needs to be a guard. The odd part is some people are saying he will be perimeter based, but the staff is looking at guards. It won't be a problem either way, but would like to be able to have a forward that has a varying skillset and not just inserting another big there if I were to coach. Although, Carey will be able to provide post-up handling. Will be interesting to see what the Igor role morphs into this season.
