I heard the "Browns want an adult at QB" comment was made before Baker's statement. Personally, I thought Baker was, up until that point, doing and saying the right things. I think he understandably felt betrayed by the comment. Browns front office screwed up IMO letting something like that slip out. QBs in the NFL have become disgruntled over less.My guess as to what happened...

Reality is that Mayfield is an average QB at best, but he's still the best they have atm. Browns should have kept things tight-lipped unless they were sure they had something better as a definite.
