If the NBA does go the extra mile to rig things for profit maximization, I wonder what their strategy is? Is it to get the biggest stars in the biggest markets? It seems like the best way to make money is have the biggest market teams be good while also having the biggest stars in small markets. For example, Ja going to Memphis and Zion going to New Orleans were huge for the NBA because they make them have national appeal and it appears Barrett is going to be good and help NY be a winning team. Was that best case scenario for the league? Or is it just get Zion to NY?
