2020 Primaries

The energy workers are already going to lose their jobs and we have to transition now in order to avoid climate catastrophe (which ik you don't believe in). We can provide them with Green Jobs.

There is a transition period where we will be able to slowly transition workers over to different markets. There will be many more government jobs created as well.

Who is going to provide them with green jobs? The .gov?

Holy hell, you want MORE .gov workers? You know how these .gov jobs are funded?

Doesn't matter if you are employed if your wages are so bad that you can't pay rent or afford food. That's the position many Americans are in today.

That is exactly what will happen with Bennie's fiscal plan, are you advocating the .gov come in and subsidize even more people?

Wages and income is up across the board right now.

I think we can work with private companies and yes Government jobs.

And I'm for more government jobs that actually have good pay and benefits. Stop the corporate and rich welfare, we don't need a military budget 5x the next country. We are the richest country in the world and yet I am being told we can't afford healthcare or education for all..

Or that we don't deserve it.

Absolute BS

See that's your problem, most of these people aren't making bad decisions. They are hard working Americans that you spit on and blame.

Sure they are. Everyone has access to a free education. No adult flipping burgers at McDonald’s should expect to be self sufficient. I guarantee you have never written a check to the IRS.

Lol you havent proven anything but keep alienating people, see how that goes. Ra Ra Ra socialism.

You don’t think Bernie and his socialist revolution is alienating people ? Wait until you hit the national scene where the rest of us get to vote .

Well you are a true believer so I'm just wasting my time.

BTW we already have healthcare and education for all.

Wages and income is up across the board right now.

So even in a "great" economy with wages up, people still can't afford healthcare, rent, or education. So now what?

Trump didn't solve it, you are telling me that my ideas won't work. What is your solution?

Oh wait. You don't care

YOU Believe hospitals should have the right to refuse patients who can't pay. That is insane to 90% of Americans. And probably 100% of the rest of the world.

How do you think you are doing?
If you want to see alienation in action, try to have a discussion with a hardcore Bernie Bro online. I've been treated worse by that lot since I started working for the campaign thank any other group. And I'm on the same team for lack of a better word. Scorched Earth is their policy.

Not accusing our Bernie Bros on here of that behavior btw, they have been civil. But Twitter and Reddit? Yikes.

Oh a Ted Cruz reference.

"Access" doesn't mean a damn thing if you can't afford it.

We are literally rationing care rn because we have so many uninsured. And yet we still pay 2x what "socialist" systems pay per person.

Remember that Russia is also interfering. I'm not saying there aren't Bernie Bros out there who are going to be dicks. Some people are just dicks.

I've met people from several campaigns like this.

As a Bernie "Bro", I am willing to have a convo with any one. 90% of my family are Trumpers and we stay civil with one another.

Ik you are a Pete guy and I like Pete as a person. Don't agree with his policies but he seems like a great guy and I will 100% support him in November if he is our guy.

Education is free. Even our poorest can obtain a college degree with zero to minimal debt.

Bernie's plans will not help anyone be able to afford rent, they will actually hamper the ability for people to get housing because the unemployed can't pay rent.

We have always had and we will always have poor people. No politician or political party is going to ever solve that problem. The best we can ever hope for from our .gov is for it to get out of the way of our people and stop putting barriers to opportunity. If there is opportunity available those that want it will seize it like there is no tomorrow.

I'll say this, as a Bernie fan. I think there is going to be massive realignment either way.

I personally know 3 Republicans (2 of which backed Trump in 16') backing Bernie. We can grab a decent proportion of populist independents and Republicans.

I assume some centrist Dems will back Trump or vote 3rd Party.

This is not going to be an easy election for Dems anyway you cut it.

If it's not Bernie, I will back the nominee assuming it is not Bloomberg and that the DNC doesn't pull anything at the convention.

But look at the national polls, if you don't like him on ideology that's fine.

But if you are hesitating because he can't beat Trump, there is no evidence that he performs worse than any other Dem.
I don’t believe for a second any R could vote for Bernie but that aside, what are you all going to do when Bernie goes into the convention with the most votes but doesn’t get the nomination?

So the Student Debt Crisis is just made up?

Education is not free, I will send you my next tuition bill if you'd like.

Care will be rationed for everyone under Bernie's plan. Well everyone except those that can pay private HC providers.

I hope to not have to worry about it.
I will never vote for Trump in a million years. But I'm struggling deciding about Bernie. Not voting is not an option, as that is basically a vote for Trump. But Bernie is too far left for me on economic issues. And his legions of online minions have really pissed me off about his campaign. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do if Bernie is the nominee yet. If that unthinkable scenario happens, I'm glad I have until November to think about it.

I’ve got your solution ... write in Pete’s name instead of voting for Bernie or Trump , then you can say you stuck with Pete the whole way .

No it isn't made up, it is a direct result of our .gov getting into the college loan business.

Education through HS is free, college is optional.

Let me be clear, And I'm for more government jobs that actually have good pay and benefits. Stop the corporate and rich welfare, we don't need a military budget 5x the next country. We are the richest country in the world and yet I am being told we can't afford healthcare or education for all..

I helped you out mr Sanders

I don’t believe for a second any R could vote for Bernie but that aside, what are you all going to do when Bernie goes into the convention with the most votes but doesn’t get the nomination?

As I explain in this post, it depends on what the DNC does.

If he has a giant lead and doesn't capture then he needs to get the nomination.

If it's neck and neck and he is winning, then I could be ok with another candidate being awarded it based on the entirety of the party.

My Dad who will vote Trump says that Sanders is his favorite Dem because he actually cares for people and isn't part of the establishment.

10% of Bernie people voted for Trump last time.

Why is it so hard to believe that there are a few Rs who like Bernie. Not everything is black and white.
