I think WV will be a tougher game than Florida because I don't know if the Vol offense can keep up. I think the Florida game will be low scoring and UT has a better chance to win that type of game, but we agree on the other 3.
Fyi, he also considers a team we havent beaten in two years a gimme game.
Until you are willing to do the least by looking at both rosters, run(Pun intended) along.
If youre talking about Carolina, then ya I wouldnt consider them a gimme game for anyone in the east. They played uga well last year and dont lose that much I think. A good quartback can keep a team in a game and I think Bentley will be improved.
I have looked at both roster. Both teams do in fact, have rosters. Ive also compared those roster to the recent past result. I have come to the logical conclusion that a team youve lost to for two straight years and 4 of 6 isnt a gimme game.
If its vandy, then I think UT should win. One reason for the current losing streak might be UT giving up late in the season, which would be a reflection of the coaching staff.
Well at least you are willing to try to learn.
Since you believe there are no gimme games. Have you looked at the rosters of UNC Charlotte, ETSU, or UTEP? Or are you just running(Pun) off at the mouth again?
This fact is something few seem to take to heart. This is a first time HC. Also above I saw someone hating on Dooley as an OC.. last I checked our offense was fine under Dooley as a HC and so has every offense he has been a part of. Dooley may not be a great head coach but he is at least a good OC and has a resume or prove it.I'll just give one word of warning.
Pruitt, since coaching in college, has worked at Alabama, Georgia, and Florida State.
Not once in his college coaching career has he had to try to hide his unit's or team's deficiencies.
He didn't even have to worry about injuries. That's how loaded the rosters were on the defensive side of the ball where he happened to be.
Just keep that in mind
QUOTE=volfannbama;15051362]Yeah we should win, but nothing is a gimme for us.
Why is it when I quote you, you say I say dumb things?
Do you think your own words are dumb?
Or just when I quote your words?
So you dont see a difference in should win and a gimme game? A gimme game is like etsu, autin peay or the like where you can play your worst, they can play their best and you still win by 14 or so.
Any team thats favored "should won" that doesnt make it a gimme game.
I heard something perfect for you on the radio a few minutes ago when Greg Cossell was talking about the Super Bowl on nashville radio, about your whole study the roster talk. He said "A team is far more than a collection of personnel."

As to your first sentence, i am refering to sec games.Do you see a difference in saying that nothing is a gimme for us and ETSU is a gimme?
Are you using a betting line that Vegas sets so the money comes in on both sides to support your claims?
I thought you were better than that.
Without the collection of personnel there is no team.
You are the one that didn't want to look at the players for both teams before deciding about how easy it should be to win the game.
According to you some of the biggest upsets could never have happen because they were gimme games.
The gumps and whoever they lost to and the Michigan and Appy st. game weren't gimme games because the better team did lose. Both were gimme games that got away from those teams. Even tho they lost they were still gimme games to the gumps and Michigan.
Every game is a could lose, even the gimme games.
You have gone on and on about how bad it was to lose to Vandy and how our 3rd stringers should have beat them and there was no excuse for the loss no matter what. Is that not the definition you used for a gimme game. Before a game it's a toss up, but if we lose, you can't believe it could happen.
Our worst will beat their best, until we lose, then it never was a gimme game.
Vandy is a gimme game for UT. Any UT HC that loses to them should expect to be fired. In year 2 or year 15.
