Detroit did it without one. Of course, Sheed probably could've been if he wanted to.
That's one in the past 50 years, it's a cute idea but you need a stud to get you buckets when the team is struggling. The Pistons would demolish this Hawks team. Ben Wallace was close to a superstar. IMO
What about all those times when the superstar scorer struggles tho? Most playoff teams have superstars so of course most championship teams will have them.
It's kind of a dumb conversation cause nobody can even agree on what a superstar is. 88 and 89 Pistons had a superstar named Rodman. Ben Wallace was 2004. If the Hawks won a championship we'd be far more inclined to call someone on their team a superstar.
He was when he was young but he was overrated in the champ runs. He played well but that team was all about defense, rebounding, and balanced scoring. If he didn't win 2 titled he'd be Steph Marbury.
