'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

That could be what triggers the transfer.

And that position change also could result in All America status as a safety and a multi million dollar contract in the NFL as a first round draft pick, and future pro bowler and hall of famer. As long as we're playing out hypotheticals.

Could be except for the fact the kid himself said QB or nothing when talking about signing. If the school was not taking him at QB, he was not going to consider them.

That's not what I remember him saying. I remember him saying he was coming in as a QB and was going to work his tail off to make that happen. He said TN assured him he was going to give him a legitimate shot. He never made the claim that he would transfer if he was moved.

UK was upset when Randall Cobb transferred because they moved him to WR! Oh wait. Now he probably sends the coaching staff Christmas cards every year that include a photo of his W2 and the words "Thank you" in big bold print. You acting like you know more than you do when you formulate these opinions is what is do annoying to people. You formulate so many hard stance opinions based on HUGE gaps in information. You know he wanted to go somewhere that would give him a chance at QB. You have no idea what the kid will do if he gets beat out at QB and realizes his future might be at another position. Jennings himself most likely doesn't even know for sure what he will do if he has to criss that bridge. All he knows is right now he has a legit shot at QB and he is going to work his ass off to win the QB competition.

For every kid who worked out to Cobbs level when agreeing to switch positions, there is probably 3x as many that did not work out. I'm hoping JJ proves to be a good QB, I'd hate to lose him.

I'd welcome you back Leb, but when you chose to take a visit to Hawaii, VN had to recruit over you to find another pessimistic number-cruncher. Sorry man, just how the game is played. :)

Edit: JMO.

"Probably 3X"? We need definite numbers to help us make these decisions for the coaching staff...can you recalculate? :compute:

Lol, you just did it again. You can't help yourself. You would hate to lose him if he does not turn out to be a good QB? Your magic 8- ball has no idea what he will do IF he loses the QB competition.

The kid said he would not sign with a school unless they were taking him as a QB. You feel he will gladly switch to S if need be. I think he would not. Opinions can and will differ at times.

And there are plenty of examples of this scenario playing out. He would not sign with a school that did not give him a chance to pay QB is not the same thing as...He would never change positions if it looked like it was in his best interest. Cobb said the same thing during his recruitment. Exact same thing. That is why he did not go to UT. Fulmer told him his offer was for ATH. Cobb said no thanks I want to play QB. All your opinions based on severe lack of info are as worthless as the gum on the bottom of my shoe. But hey we all need to find what make us happy in life. You have found yours....taking 5% of the facts/details/info in a situation and filling in the other 95% with blah, blah, blah because it makes you feel empowered.

Not true. He said he wanted a shot to prove he's a QB in college. He's getting that shot. How do you know he'll be unwilling to move positions if QB doesn't work out? You don't. No one knows one way or the other at this point.

Or I guess it could be just like CBJ lying to both QBs about S. Jones and sneaking him in behind their backs...right? Lol

So... Why do you have such a problem with opinions that differ? On top of that, their opinion has been that "he may switch and be ok with it". Your then pass your opinion off as fact and that he will definitely transfer.

Somebody hook it up...
@RyanCallahan247: Four-star QB, #Vols commit @A_Kendall11 'pretty firm' with #Tennessee after OC Mike Bajakian's departure: (VIP) Four-star QB Austin Kendall 'pretty firm' after Bajakian's exit

About the rhetoric you would expect. Still hears from some schools. Including OM go figure. I did find this interesting, when asked about the 3 QBs we signed...

“I was concerned, but it sounds like Jauan Jennings is an athlete, so he might end up at a different position."

This doesn't surprise me.
