My son plays with him. He was the reason our freshman went undefeated. Kid is fast and gets good separation. No one has been able to cover him. He loves the Vols. I will be bringing him and my son to camp next year. He transferred from VA last year. BTW he is 6'3" and closer to 180-190.

Where is this guy now?

Where is this guy now?

This is a good question. We need more digging from those ACTUALLY close to him, not just people who live in or near his town that may or may not have heard something about what he may or may not be thinking...

I've been told that Malone "Thinks he's too good for Tennessee. " ... He's pretty hard headed and everyone just gets the vibe that he wants to go out of state and not 'settle' for playing for the big in-state school that he's probably being pushed towards from the media and fans...

He's got that I'm gonna do my own thing attitude from what I'm hear..

So, he thinks he's better than CP, Gault, Meachem, etc? That's funny.

Malone visits UGA

Station Camp (Gallatin, Tenn.) wide receiver Josh Malone isn't lacking for options when it comes to scholarships to play football at the next level.

Rated as the 38th overall player in the country by Rivals.com, Malone holds over 30 offers at this time, and after receiving a recent offer from the Georgia Bulldogs, he quickly decided a visit to Athens was in order.

"I decided to go visit right after UGA offered just because I know the what the offense there is capable of," Malone said of his decision to visit UGA so quickly after the Bulldogs offered. "They put the ball in the air. It is a real balanced attack. It is a great offense for a wide receiver for how they throw the ball. They are a great SEC team. That sparked my interest and I felt like I had an opportunity to get to play there early, so I talked to my parents and we found a date where I could go down there. That is how it happened."

His parents, Cordell and Rebecca Malone, also made the trip with the Volunteer State playmaker, and it appears as if the entire trip made a positive impression on the 6-foot-3, 190 pounder and his family.

"I had a really, really good time on the visit," he said. "It was great because I got to meet with professors and really got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and the players. Overall it was a great visit. I talked to my parents and they really liked the visit. They took me through their impression of the visit and they learned more about the process by going down there. It was just a real great place and an a great visit."

If it has been said once, it has been said a million times that recruiting is about relationships.

So what Georgia coaches did Malone spend time with on his first visit to the Classic City?

"The coaches I spent the most time with were Coach (Tony) Ball, Coach (Mike) Bobo, and Coach (Mark) Richt," Malone said. "I spent a lot of time with Coach Richt at the end. My impression was that they are a really good staff and they are great guys. They told me how they are going to use me, and how much the appreciated me getting down there so soon. It was a great educational visit on the University of Georgia. I learned a lot about the university when I was down there."

Richt also received a piece of good news from Malone, who arrived in Athens on Friday, before he left campus on Saturday.

"I'm highly considering an official visit to Georgia," he said. "As of right now, I believe that Georgia will get an official visit from me. I talked to Coach Right, and he asked if he could get an official visit and I told him, 'yes.' So I already have plans to get back down there on an official."
The summer will be a busy one for the four-star prospect.

He will be participating in the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour on June 7 through June 9, and with plans to enroll at the school of his choice in January, he will start summer school on June 3.

With camps, combines, and summer school taking up a large portion of his time in June and July, Malone isn't sure how many visits he will take, but he does have a list, albeit a long one, of schools that he is interested at this time.

"Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, UCLA, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Kentucky," Malone said. "Those are the schools I am highly considering right now and I'm working off that list for now."

Going forward, the Rivals100 standout says that he plans to use that list of schools to come up with a shorter list before making a decision after taking all five of his official visits.

"I'm going to try to have a top five before the next school year starts," he said. "That is my goal. It is to have a top five before the season starts so that I can have my official visits planned for during the season. Then I can hopefully make my decision fairly early so I can get my paper work in to the school and so I can get to campus early and start with team activities."

I'd 100% go to UT if I had a scholarship offer but I gotta admit that Athens is nice. They would have to be my 2nd option. Georgia girls are hotttttttt lol. Still hate the team though :)

Someone jut tweet Malone a career highlight roll of Marlon Brown.

55 catches for 850 yards for his career. I guess it could have been worse. Being a 5* player, you would expect more. Hunter, Patterson, Rogers all did just about as much or more just this past year alone.
