Thanks for posting.

Doesn't give us any new information, but it does explain where B. Simmons and R. Mansell are coming from with their new prediction.

At the end of the day, I don't think anyone knows where this kid is leaning, and he may not be leaning anywhere at the moment.

I think we can all agree that the issue to handle here is his family, notably his mother. She is playing a HUGE role, and she likes UGA and Vandy from an academic standpoint, not to mention UGA is a winning program right now.

Ya got Cliff's Notes? I'm not an Insider...

Tennessee remains in good shape with Malone, who is ranked as the No. 12 wide receiver in the country by both 247Sports and 247Composite which equally weighs rankings from all major recruiting sites. We expect the Vols will get an official visit from Malone in the fall. But the industry assumption that Malone is a lock to head East to Knoxville is far from a foregone conclusion.

Sources have indicated to 247Sports that the visit went fantastic and that the Georgia staff impressed Malone with its academic presentation and football opportunities.

On Thursday, heading into Malone’s visit weekend, I changed my Crystal Ball prediction to Georgia. Dawgs247 insider Rusty Mansell has since done the same. While there is no reason to think that Georgia is suddenly the clear leader for Malone, there is also a lot of reason to believe the Dawgs make a lot of sense.

Malone’s biggest factors in his recruitment are academics and an offense that gets the ball in the hands of wide receivers. He is also close with his family and while distance won’t be a deal breaker, a regional program would seem to appeal to the Malone family. Georgia can make a strong case for checking off all of those boxes.

If your assessment on women is as bad as your assessment on football, I think I wouldn't put a lot of stock in your version of what's considered hot. Probably got drunk and ended up with a 300 lb woman with more body hair than you.

It is not cool to trash DaRick's women>

Not dismissing 247's Mansell or Simmons but the same can be said of Tennessee. The key factor and big influence here is mom. The program that has the best success selling the mother is going to be the one to beat.

Malone is ideal for CBJ's and CMB's offense --- size, speed, hands, but most importantly his route running (good and disciplined) a critical and key point w/ Jones. With his skill set (and depending how quickly he can get the playbook down) he should be in the fold (WR rotation) from the onset.

Didn't gallatins coach play at UT? Isn't he the former radio host of 105.9 " proud Mary" s husband?

Robert Lassiter did play at Gallatin and UT. However, Josh Malone plays at Station Camp High School, which is the newer high school in Gallatin and pulls from Gallatin and Hendersonville.

What is amazing is that on Thursday ole Barton changed his crystal ball predictibn ... before Malone even crossed the state line.

I think that's the point Simmons is making. He's saying that certain boxes are checked, and that's why people believe the Vols lead. However, UGA can check those same boxes, so they claim.

yep UGA can, but he is an instate kid which means the vols must sign him up. they can't let that type of talent leave the state.

Just like Kitt shouldn't leave GA... It happens, kids will go where they want.

completely agree, but many volunteer fans don't agree with that based on the comments i have seen in threads this past week.. you are one of the few who understands that. you can't force a kid to stay instate. as a staff you just go out and get the best players regardless of where they reside.
