WR Josh Malone enjoys SEC visit - Georgia Bulldogs Blog - ESPN
Josh Malone's weekend visit won't be his last trip to one of his favorite schools.
The ESPN 150 receiver from Gallatin (Tenn.) Station Camp said Georgia will certainly be one of his finalists after traveling to Athens, Ga., on June 1. It was his first trip to see the Bulldogs up close.
"It was good," the No. 124 prospect in the country said. "They've got a really nice weight room and academics. I'd say the thing that really stood out the most is just being around the players and being around the coaches."
Malone plans to announce a list of five finalists some time before his senior season. The Bulldogs are the first to secure a position in that list. Other than that, he's still contemplating.
"I'm not sure who will be in there," the 6-foot-2, 189-pound prospect said. "I'm still working on that."
Malone said he most enjoyed spending time with receiver Chris Conley, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and head coach Mark Richt while in Georgia. Malone has given strong indications that he's willing to leave Tennessee for college. However, he's also seriously considering Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
"Both of them are good schools and both of them are coming up," Malone said. "They're both recruiting good right now. It's eye catching. ... I think they're both doing really good right now and I'm keeping my eyes on both of them really close."
