'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

The fact there has been no endorsement, much less extension, of Dooley from Hart relating to coming back speaks volumes if one actually thinks about it. He has to beat Missy and win out November to even have a shot. This is not lost on DG and family. This time around I would expect the replacement would already have been addressed a couple of months before NSD.

He doesn't need a public vote of confidence. You're an idiot if you think there's a chance Dooley gets fired if we go 8-4.

Belive me, after this past weekend's debacle at home against Vandy, I don't think Mizzou expects anything. In fact, most of the local media are saying they'll be lucky to be bowl eligible this year.

Hm. I see. I guess the way I see it, the coaches and players of Mizzou can take it as an opportunity to knock off a traditional SEC team and be motivated by that.

I agree. He won't be fired if he finishes 8-4, though fans deserve to be disappointed if those four losses are to UF, UGA, USCe, and Bama, despite the improvement. At some point, we should expect to beat one of our four biggest rivals. We have at least been competitive against UF and UGA.

Then if he wins this Saturday there will be that public endorsement, right? Or will he wait until they lose to both Bama and USCe to reassure the team, fans and recruits. If not then will he make sure they win against the last four games before publicly backing him? You seem to have inside info from the UTAD or BOT. Tell us more.

He is in year three of a six year contract, he does not need a public endorsement to show that his job is safe. Unlike many of the idiots in this fan base Hart will assess the whole season at years end instead looking at it game by game, and there is no way he will get fired after going from 5-7 to 8-4.

The fact that Dooley is 4-9 in the SEC speaks louder volumes, especially when the 4 wins are Ole Miss, Kentucky, and 2 against Vandy. People who make million dollar decisions probably do not accept that level of performance and probably will not reward it.

Dooley has the option of changing that perception and it can easily be done by beating a couple of mid level or top level SEC opponents. This program has top level facilities and top level financial support. Why shouldn't we demand top level coaching?

I agree except on one point. Isn't he 4-14 in the SEC?

Seriously, can we leave the Dooley talk out of Derrick freakin Greens thread...is that too much to ask? Its getting so played out, if you wanna talk coaching in a thread then please at least support our coach in one of our top prospects threads. If you wanna b!tch take it somewhere else.

Good suggestion. Dooley has nothing to do with whether Green comes to UT or not (lol). A public endorsement or extension by Hart lets the Green family know how it will play out for the future. That is in doubt now.

Awesome. So lets debate it till our eyes bleed and make up hypothetical scenarios that may or may not get him fired and then try to guess his replacement. Or, we could focus on our teams improved play and what a boost it would be to land one of the top rbs in the country!

good idea but some of our so-called fans would rather bash our Head Coach on a recruit's page on VN... we all know that players and family's of players read these all the time...go Vols!

Amen Rote, sometimes its the simple things that are the hardest to grasp. Green is a beast and I think he knows how successful he and the orange could be next year!

Oblivious to reasoning and/or rational thought, the pessimists here are never happy or satisfied. If it's not one thing, it's another---always something. :loco: They aren't content unless they are :banghead2:

Wouldn't put money on that. For example, our recruiting class did not fall apart after a horrible month of October followed by a loss to Kentucky.

Interesting way to put it.. Especially in a recruiting thread that has Auburn in it..:good!:
