'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Don't worry, we can sit back and laugh our asses off when all these ppl try to jump on the Dooley bandwagon later on... Too many ppl wanting instant gratification, and aren't willing to go through the process necessary to get lasting success.. I don't know how u could be down on this team right now.. I'm proud of them, and clearly see improvement.

Will your opinion change of we lose to State this week?

the sad thing is...Dooley gets an extension...we more than likely lock up Green...and maybe a few other big name players to help this team continue to build....Dooley goes, along with most of the staff, team goes back 3 to 4 years...and players with them....

Have u watched a game this year? This is the dumbest post I've ever seen.. The difference is night and day..

Have you watched a game this year? I'm seeing the same simple mistakes on a game to game basis.

What exactly is so "night and day"?

B*** S***.....if Dooley goes....it sets this team back 3 to 4 years....and yes..most of the coaches will be gone too....as well as a lot of current players and recruits....
And all of you who think Gruden is the savior..get over it...he will not be coaching at UT...

Dude get outta dooley's crotch. If he's fired it'll be because we hired a better coach and recruits will recognize that. If anything this could help recruiting. Not like Dooley was recruiting at an elite level before anyway.

I've been very supportive of dooley execpt after the florida game that we just gave up in. We have played good enought to win against anyone we just need to start playing a full 60 minutes, every one points out that we played hard in the second half against GA but noone says anything about how bad the first quater was. I am we didn't give up but it was a sign that the team thought they were going to lose going into the game.
sure we come back and looked great but we are yet to play 60 minutes under dooley.
A win against Miss St means a packed out neyland. a lose and it will still be packed but with anywhere from 7 to 15 thousand extra bama fans.
its important for dooley to beat atlest one other solid team besides NC St. So we can have some hope going into next season. and maby be in the pre season top 25

Dooleys contract runs through 2015, even if he goes 7-5 or 8-4 why in the heck would you add an extension on?

Say he gets us to 7-5 o4 8-4 this year, you give him a 3 year extension (which would then run through 2018 & add even more $ to the buyout more than likely) then he turns around & goes 5-7 next year you basically just screwed yourself even more than you already are.

Our offense is putting up a lot of points... Our guys can field kicks without a fumble every other time... Our front 7 is better than ever, and actually has depth... Our secondary still sucks, but is causing turnovers, and has really good young talent.. That's a little quick something off the top of my head..

I mean look, we lost to Florida, but led for most of it, but just gave up too many big plays, which made us stray away from our offensive gameplan.. Our secondary couldn't catch anybody, and missed tackles.
-uf is ranked #1 in the country in the computer polls

We battled then #5 uga for an entire 60mins, and showed heart as we moved the ball well all game, and came up with some late game stops..Again, our secondary gave up huge plays because they couldn't tackle in space.. We were still in position to win at the end of the game, but mental errors lost it..

We aren't getting smashed by the best teams in the country this year. We are in position to win every game.. I think it continues the rest of the season, and we pull a cpl out that we aren't expecting to.

Recruiting is about relationships... Trusting ur new mentors for 3-5 years.. Not strangers.

I'll judge on the body of work... What if we lose to miss state in a close one after crazy turnovers or injures, but win against usce? That's why everyone needs to chill and see how things go instead of lighting torches and carrying pitchforks..

and who do you think this coach will be.......

Although I am a "give Dooley more time" guy, it all depends on who UT hires IF Dooley is gone.

You hire another unknown, yes it will set us back.

You hire a big name hot shot coach, it will actually quicken our recovery.

I'll give Dooley credit, unlike the coach before him, Dooley will actually leave the program in better shape than he found it.

Everyone says extension, but what I think they really mean is a public endorsement from the AD that he's going to be here next year. You're 100% right. He's already under contract and it's at the right money for the level of success he's shown. I am trying to be patient but I'm getting a little tired. I'm just ready to see us kicking ass again.

Just in from Rivals Recriting Chat and Asshat Mike Farrell:

"Go blue -- no one really knows, the more Auburn loses as well as Tennessee the better it is for Michigan. He has been told by many that he needs to be an SEC back but if Michigan is the best option for him I don't think he sticks with that thinking."

Agreed, but who says that the new head coach wouldn't have already established connections and relationships with recruits, especially if we're looking at college coaches.

You do realize that Chaney, & Hinshaw are the only coaches left from Dooley's original staff, right?

I'm not saying another coaching staff wouldn't hurt relationships with some recruits but it wouldn't kill this class either.

What hurts more than anything at this point is the uncertainty surrounding Dooley staying and the negative recruiting other SEC programs are (effectively?) using against us, IMO.

If Dooley wins 2 of the next three that talk will QUICKLY die down....

I don't think we do either. But I feel confident that UT has the talent to beat them. I just want UT to show them that they shouldn't expect to come into Neyland and beat us.

Belive me, after this past weekend's debacle at home against Vandy, I don't think Mizzou expects anything. In fact, most of the local media are saying they'll be lucky to be bowl eligible this year.

LOL! Like Tennessee, UM is 3-2, playing the Illini (Homecoming) 10.13, and they will not end w/ a better W-L record than Tennessee. IMO.

And Michigan being the better option??? I laugh at that as well. Of the two, Tennessee is DG's best option AND I would say that if I weren't a Tennessee fan!

Mike Farrell = :flush:
