How many 5 star running backs has Dooley coached in his 2.2 seasons at UT? Richardson/Yeldon would be all world no matter what SEC school they went to.

TBH I have no clue right now. The visit next week is interesting especially considering we are playing FAU. I know the announcement date was rescheduled a day early because of his school. Not sure exactly why they wanted it on Thursday when he wanted it on Friday live on ESPN. His main reason for the original Sept date. He also was originally scheduled to come to UA on the 29th for the Ole Miss game but he has a lot of family in town that weekend for the announcement. Which may be the only reason he is now coming next weekend. This was the 1st time I read he was coming on the 22nd.

Two ways to look at it. One UA gets last visit which benefits UA and Henry wants to see both schools before announcing. Two UA staff worried about UT landing Henry and are bringing him to get the last impression and do damage control from the UT visit.

im curious as well. i really don't know what he is thinking as most people don't. i still think he has UA right in front with UT right behind.

I understand your point. Burton Burns is regarded as one of the best (RB) coaches in college football. However, let us not minimize what is taking in place at Tennessee. HCDD has brought in some experienced (to include the League) and talented (DCSS, DLCJP, & OLCSP) coaches, he too brought in a fine, rising RB coach in Jay Graham. Then there is Derek Ansley who already is known as a relentless recruiter but under appreciated as a coach. IMO
My point, once again Tennessee is beginning to make noise---in the Conference and Nationally. Jay Graham had a stellar career as a Vol and went on to play professionally. He knows what it takes to be in the League. I think RB prospects, especially high profiled recruits (Green, Henry, Kamara, etc) who have NFL aspirations find Tennessee very appealing.

i wouldn't be that uneasy. reality is we are looking to get an Elite back this cycle. so i would just let it ride for now. henry might still pick UA, but Green is interested as is Turman.

Especially with Bo just committing and everything is pointing to UA for Rock's committment next week. So we will see soon. but either way UT seems in great position to land a top RB. And TBH I do not see RB as the best position for Henry in college. He is definitely NFL talent and a freak athlete but could see his skill set utilized better. JMO

Hey TW how is Fowler? He out for the year for sure? Heard some people talking today and they said he would redshirt and still have 2 years if so. If he is out , I don't think it hurts you all too bad. Hate it for any player to go down though.

Yeah the word out for season and will redshirt. And yes will have 2 more season afterwards. In regards to our team overall it will hurt in short yardage and blocking, but we have depth so hopefully someone else can pick up the slack.

I'm just going to tell myself that he wanted to tell the UA staff face to face thanks but no thanks before committing to UT.
