'13 FL RB Derrick Henry (Bama commit)

and the purpose of this post ..............

I used to think that I just didn't like what you were saying in your posts, but really it's just so annoying looking at a massive run on sentence. Maybe it's just an indictment of Alabama public school system.

I still dont see RBs obsession playing at Ala. I mean they are a run first team and will get a chance to play for championships, but what Saban/ Ala RB is killing it in the NFL? Ingram has been hurt and when he does play doesnt exactly put up big numbers. I think Trent could be a good NFL RB but his first game was less than impressive. Was like 18-19 runs for like 39 yards for a 2.1 average against Washington's D. Now defensive players are a different story and outside of Julio they just dont develop many offensive weapons.

I would go to Bama and play RB over UT if I were a recruit. As much as they run the ball come on. Trent Richardson being judged on his rookie debut is crazy. Ingram was never a top notch NFL talent. He just was a hard nosed college RB. Saban and Bama got him drafted high. But ask yourself this, what Dooley/UT RB is killing it in college? You can't really blame these RBs man. Now a WR or QB picking Bama over UT is crazy.

Where is this newfound optimism coming from just the radio comment?

Skeeter has said that coaches are confident, Bama has picked up one top 2014 back last week and looks like they are about to pick up another one, and TW has said that all their current running back commitments have reaffirmed their commitments in the last week.

yeah this is a great sign for UT. I just cant see Bama taking 2 2014 RB commits this early with the intentions of taking Henry also unless he has decided to play another position which is highly unlikely.

Nice to know you see the obvious. I stated the obvious and got flamed, lol. One thing about Ingram is that I dont feel he is a good fit for the saints offense. They are a finesse team and he needs to be in offense like the 49ers or Jets to name a few.

Ingram is going to be a bust. I always felt he was overrated.

I definitely didnt mean it to sound that way about Trent. I always thought he was the better RB of the 2 while both were at Ala. Always thought Ingram was a little overrated, he just played behind a beast of an OLine.

We probably all felt that Trent was going to be the better of the 2 especially with his measurables. What made Ingram so good in college was his vision and intangibles, plus of course that great oline, Trent was still a little raw when he was backing up Ingram, main reason he never jumped him on the depth chart. We finally saw last year how much better he was compared to Ingram once he put everything together
