This new talk might have something to do with Alabama’s latest RB commit. Reality dawning on him that Bama has 15,000 running backs and the new OC wants to throw it around more often. And Tennessee’s offense not sucking helps our chances, too.

It should get interesting with Henry. Bo just commited and Rock will now make his decision next week and come to the Ole Miss game following that. Even if Henry is still leaning to UA right now having Bo and looks like Rock committed to UA right before announces could help sway even more towards UT.

Again maybe our staff knows something and why these guys are coming onboard now.:hi:

I am really starting to believe that DH is a VOL. I think his OV this weekend will seal the deal. He announces publicly on the 27th that he is a VOL, and then cancels his OV to Bama for that weekend.

So odd changing that decision date. I haven't the foggiest idea what this kid is going to do.

I just know what he should do.

the new OC is throwing it around more often at the moment because they want to prepare McCarron for situations down the road in games where they might cant depend on the run as much. Bama will be a run first team as long as Saban is there and these RBs know it. I believe the staff has finally realized ( something alot of the Bama fans have been screaming) that it doesnt make sense to take 3 backs this year when you can take 2 this year and 2 more next. apparantly these kids seem to not be worried about depth chart as long as they can get 2 good years to run the ball and then move on to NFL without being worn down by so many carries in college.

It's a good thing your fans have more knowledge than your staff, otherwise you guys might be in trouble.

nah the coaches usually make the right decision, but that doesnt mean they are all knowing and we cant have an opinion, nice try though

I still dont see RBs obsession playing at Ala. I mean they are a run first team and will get a chance to play for championships, but what Saban/ Ala RB is killing it in the NFL? Ingram has been hurt and when he does play doesnt exactly put up big numbers. I think Trent could be a good NFL RB but his first game was less than impressive. Was like 18-19 runs for like 39 yards for a 2.1 average against Washington's D. Now defensive players are a different story and outside of Julio they just dont develop many offensive weapons.

u answered half of the question, they are a run first and play for titles. the other part is that they have had 3 RBs (Coffee who played 1 year in the NFL but quit for religious reasons) drafted in the 1st round since Saban has been there and also two different RBs that were Heisman finalist in back to back years ( one that was a 3star). what other team can say they have done any of that in the last 5 or 6 years? that has to be attractive to some of these top RBs

Ingram has played 1 year and Trent has played 1 game, can you really come to a conclusion on how their career will turn out? and besides the college coaches have done their part by helping them get to the NFL, its up to the player from then on to make the best of it.

they finally have some talented young WRs that just came in to the program the last 2 years, we will just have to see how they develop over time.
