Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, and Iowa are hard after me right now."

Florida: "They are recruiting me to play the nose tackle position in the 3-4. Also I love Coach Young. I mean what a great person to learn from. He has tons of experience and accomplishments at the next level. It would be a great opportunity to learn from him. And the SEC again."

Tennessee: "They were my first offer and I have the best relationship with their coaches. I'm very comfortable with their coaches. I fit in very well with there defense."

Michigan: "They are my hometown school. Great staff and great defense. They also are putting together a great recruiting class some of my best friends are in the class too."

O'Brien says he will make a decision after the season and he says he is sure of one thing that will not go into his decision.

"Being the hometown team will not make Michigan my favorite I will pick the school that best fits me."-Rivals

this is going to make the difference imo

Man you guys are confident. I hope you are right. He would be a great start in filling the DT void. A couple of more guys similar to him and a 4th guy like Bourne would be great. Just need someone to get us off and running toward that end.

He talks about how great a fit Tennessee is for him, and then says he will pick the school that best fits him.

Game. Set. Match... I hope.

Hope you guys are right. but the longer he puts it off the less confident I am. He needs to go ahead and committ and help get us rolling. He and Bourn would be a great start, and throw Cameron and Crane in soon.

Vol. Kid just wants to keep it open early to get as much exposure and drive his stock up, all the time gathering new offers. Don't blame him. Vol in the end. Nothing to worry about, IMO.

I just hope we land 3-4 DT's that can and will contribute early. Didnt know that on Bourne thought he was pretty highly thought of by the Coachs. But either way hopefully O'Brien gets it rolling at that position and get that big ole dude, his name escapes me but is huge and would be a great addition along with O'Brien.

We have Dakota Ball and Darren Lake commited now. We make take one more and it sounds like Nero came away from camp with an offer finally and we are now leading for him he said after camp. If we take Nero the oonly other DT I think we take would be E Goldman and that is a longshot at best. I think we take 3 for this class as DT. Not sure how DEs we take yet.

They already have two commitments and are looking to take Nero. I don't think there is room for O'Brien in Bamaland. I think we are safe.

they lose 6 Dl this year...besides Saban has a way of making the numbers work. Not saying Bama is going to get him but numbers won't play a role in the way Saban's recruits DL.

According to our database, #Alabama has offered 165 rising seniors, including 24 WRs and 24 DTs -- 56 are committed elsewhere-Kieth Niebuhr twitter

Also, it looks like former 4*DT Darrington Sentimore is leaving the program.

Wish Jernigan, Wright, etc. had noticed that last year.

Can't undue what's done, but 2012 looks promising given the size (no pun intended :) ) of the DT class...lots of talent considering Tennessee---Day, Ekakitie, James (Grades are a concern), Johnson, Kirven, O'Brien, Pipkins, Shanks, Tomlinson, Valentine (Grades are a concern), & Watkins to name a few, and BTW, who all are 4* rated. Expect CDD to fill (4 DT) the need.
