11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

I say we start a Tubberville for fl head coach petition on facebook..thats how lil wayne got freed from prison, isnt it?

They would never consider Tubs. The only reason Miami is interviewing him is that he used to coach there.

I'm hoping Florida hires Stoops. He's pretty inept.

I hate all that bullcrap about "Florida can get anyone they want", yes, they're good right now but UT has way more to offer.

Florida has better weather.
Florida has better beaches with better sand.

However, in Tennessee:
1. You can't get eaten by a shark.
2. You can't drown in the ocean.
3. You won't get killed by a tidal wave.
4. There are way less sand fleas.
5. There are no kissing beetle swarms.
6. You are way less likely to get pooped on from a sea gull.

so yes TN has way more to offer.

He proved himself to me this year by getting Louisville to 6-6. Their talent is absolutely terrible there and he somehow got them bowl eligible. Also, had them in the thick of 3-4 other games that they lost right at the end. I really think he'd be a great fit at Miami.

Wow........... 6-6?

That is a mighty fine job by Strong. That team was absolutely pathetic last year, I can't believe he turned that crap-hole around like that. GREAT job, imo.

Really, really depends on your preferences. I'm school-hunting at the moment, and I refused to apply to any schools in Florida based on the weather. The sort of disgusting heat that we get one week out of the year in the Tri-Cities lasts well into October? No thanks. And I've always disliked beaches. Mountains are much better for vacation spots. But if you like spending lots of time at the beach, then you may have reason to prefer Florida.

UF is an hour and a half from a beach. Gainesville offers nothing over Tennessee. Live in jax and I've been to Knox. Trust me when i say the use of a beach as a benefit of UF is like luring someone to UF because of Disney.

I've got some ocean front property in Gainesville, I'd love to sell you.

Turned a crap team into a bowl team his first year.

Will start getting his guys in there, will only get better.

The Big East should be scared of Charlie Strong if he stays there.

I think you're crazy if you don't think Strong is going to be a excellent HC, when he is already maybe the the best DC. And it is crazy if you don't see him taking that team to 6-6 this year. Very similar to us. Lack of talent, took the team a little above expectations, and the future looks bright.

Just my two cents, but I think Strong would be a great hire at the U.

Yeah, that is almost exactly what I said. Did you think I was joking?

Does fl have more money to offer coaches than TN? I mean, u are as close or closer to guaranteed a national championship at fl than anywhere else in the country, imo. Their resources, and appeal to blue chippers these days is amazing. Any coach that wants to experience big time ncaa football with access to elite talent every single year will jump at the chance to coach that program...unfortunately

Jackson is visiting GT this weekend, just to let some people know he has a brother that lives in Atlanta. Probably just taking in the visit to see his brother.
