11 FL OL Marcus Jackson (UT commit)

well.....al golden isnt that bad...

I think Miami is on hold until Florida chooses its new HC.

Its kinda like the NFL draft -- Florida has 1st pick (because it is a better job) and after they pick their coach, that will open up a new set of candidates for Miami from among those who were looking at Florida as their first choice.

Patience is a good game plan for Miami at the moment.

As already pointed out Jackson will announce at the UA game then go to the school he chose afterwards, Hubbs pointed out that whatever school Jackson chooses he will have to get his paperwork in soon so he can enroll right after the game.

The hiring of Al Golden doesn't invoke much fear in terms of Jackson's recruitment. V,B!!!

Sounds familiar, I think we all forget how lucky we got considering the situation we were in during our coaching search with all the rejections.

Who was actually offered and rejected? From what I know, we interviewed several but no official news on who said "no" to an offer.

You obviously know nothing about Al Golden. Miami will be legit next year. Possibly win the ACC. Al Golden preaches running the football and toughness. Hes a tireless recruiter and worker...

I'd say its about 50-50 right now. Definitely not a Vol Lock.

I do know about Al Golden and agree that he will do well in Miami. However, Jackson is an EE and our coaches have established a relationship with him over the past several months. While Golden is an outstanding recruiter, hard-nosed, and believes in running the football, he has a lot of ground to make up with Jackson in a very short amount of time (dead period is approaching).

Jackson is already All-Vol. It would take a miracle for Golden to switch him.

I don't know how reliable your info is Kingston but I'm gonna hang my hopes on watch you just typed.

Personally, I think MJ is the most important offensive uncommitted prospect of ours.
