This makes no sense. We just put two players in the league last year and both had great years. Percy even made the pro bowl.

Percy Harvin is a completely different case than any other WR to come out of UF yet. Murphy still has a lot of talent to realize, and he may never do it. Sorry, but I do not believe UF prepares WRs for the pros that well. Sure, they still have the raw talent when they leave, but it's not as developed as it could be under a better set of coaches/style of play.

the number is due to pool of candidates and of course we won't get them all. with the 4 remaining spots we're looking for 2 WR, 1 OL and 1 LB.Florida doesn't have enough room for all these people they are talking about getting..

Keeping in mind there's a very real chance for decommits candidates to fill those spots
WR Ivan McCartney - Miami or WVU with Florida on the outside
WR Kyle Prater - who knows but looking at Florida and Notre Dame
WR Kadron Boone - Texas Tech if he likes the new staff
WR Adrian Coxson - Penn State or Florida
WR Robert Woods - USC unless rumors of the NCAA coming down come to fruition
WR Christian Green - UGA or FSU
WR Da'Rick Rogers - UGA, UT or Florida
RB Dillon Baxter - who knows but his dad played at UF
LB Jordan Hicks - Florida. Texas still has a shot.
LB Christian Jones - FSU. Will visit Gators though.
LB Telvin Smith - FSU
OL Seantrel Henderson - Florida or OSU. Henderson would likely get a chance to also play basketball at Florida.
OL Matt James - Ohio State or Notre Dame
the stigma against UF receivers is actually eroding a bit now that receivers that have developed under Meyer's offense are hitting the NFL. Aside from Percy Harvin, Andre Caldwell had a good year for the Bengals and rookie Louis Murphy was the top performing wide receiver for the Bengals.Percy was a versatile receiver that UF used every way possible . Prater is a true receiver that is going to play receiver in a pro style offense where true receivers catch passes . I am not bashing UF , just saying the spread type offense Meyer uses is not right for the kind of receiver that Prater is.

those three are the ONLY wide receivers developed under Meyer to come out of Florida as most of the Zook guys were gone after the 2006 BCSCG and 3 successful receivers out of 3 brought up through the program is a good track record. of course that percentage will undoubtedly go down this year as I don't expect David Nelson to even be drafted. However Riley Cooper will get drafted if he decides to back out of his contract with the Texas Rangers.
