So would you all view Prater's comments as a de-commit or just a re-evaluation? I kind of viewed his comments as a decommit.

Prater physically is a beast, but really doesn't look so impressive so far on the field mid-way through the 2nd quarter of the AA Game. A few bad passes towards him, but also a drop pass... Ambles, however, already had an amazing catch.

The top WR in the country never drops the pass he just flubbed there in the 2nd qtr. Do these guys ever lose a star because he should not be rated as high as Ambles.
Just sayin' .... it is what it is I guess.

So, I probably don't understand what you're saying because no way you could be insinuating that being distracted by anything other than a death in his family gives him a waiver for playing like it was his first game cause he's stinkin' right now.

He dropped one pass (the day after Carroll was said to be leaving, when Prater was supposed to fly straight there after the game) and Ambles made one nice catch and suddenly Ambles is better than him? That's not an overreaction at all...

Nah... He missed one earlier that granted would've been a nice catch (one that the top WR in the country is recruited to make) but then missed the other which was a very easy catch. Big ouch there.

Look dude, I don't know the guy... I don't dislike him.. Heck, his rating says that he's the best... period.

He was and now he's not and that was seen on national TV. A ranking is a moving number.

Because of how he is playing in this ONE GAME under these circumstances? Even though he's dominated these same players all week before his coach suddenly decided to leave and he had to chance his college plans, his flight plan, etc. in about a day? Okay. Surely two passes tell the entire story.

According to some of the other players at the game, he's as good as advertised. One sub-par showing doesn't change that. Neither does the fact that he's not a Vol commit. I just hope thaat we can take advantage of the new developments, and have him lining up beside Ambles.

don't know the veracity of this but it's making the rounds that Kyle Prater and his family contacted Meyer yesterday and will be meeting him in Gainesville tomorrow. sounds too good to be true.

hilarious. I'm sure he really wants to go from a school where his coach left and is driving him to decommit from USC to an equally shaky situation where chances are the coach won't be back at that school either at UF...

He'd be a moron to go to UF. It would honestly be the biggest waste of his talent that he could possibly choose. He'd be much better off at Oklahoma.
