Its hard for us to recruit against USC right NOW....we are selling that we are going to become the USC of the East. So if a really talented player has the opportunity to go to the USC (already proven and ready to win championships from day one.) or to the up and coming most are going to pick option one. It will happen with time:good!:.

We haven't won an SEC title in over a decade. Players want to go where they know they can win championships. Kiffin will eventually get us back to that point, but we have to be patient and realize that it won't happen overnight.

yeah i think it is over but he said he might or might not take his officials. but kiffin should have let him visit during one of our practices cuz prater talks very hhighly bout usc practice and coaches and it sounds just like our practice and coaches haha

Dude has been a USC fan for years. As I said a couple of weeks back his USC visit would go a long way towards determining where he would end up. I think it did just that.

Agreed. You don't have to read into it too much to figure out he's going to USC.

Well there is not much to read into after you read LV's post (#1300) about his visit to USC. It was pretty clear to me.

Does anyone else think it is weird that crunchimusmaximus was sold on Jesse Scroggins to Tennessee,and after that was wrong he knew that Tennessee was going to get Prater.Something tells me that he has some sort of ties to USC and knows something about players going there and comes on here to give us false hope.


Or I am just crazy,either way..........Go Vols.

Sometimes, you should just go with the more likely situation.

Scroggins and Prater are going to the school that they grew up rooting for, a school that has lost about 9 games in the last 9 years, and crunch has no sources and is just making predictions in the hope that he will somehow look enlightened if they do come here.

ESPNU 150 wide receiver Kyle Prater sets announcement date

Kyle Prater (Hillside, Ill./Proviso West) informed ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com that he will make his decision on Sept. 2nd.

Prater previously named a top six of Notre Dame, USC, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama and Oklahoma.

The nation's No. 8-rated wide receiver recently returned from a visit with the Trojans who appear to be in the lead. Oklahoma and Illinois are two others in his top group that stand out.

It's encouraging that we've made the final 6, so anything can happen, but the fact that we're even getting the ear of elite WR is promising to say the least that maybe we can get another QB to go with them.

Love to get the kid, but I feel we lose another to the USC squad again. That Pete Carroll has put together a great system for sure. Kids wanna play there. We are no slouches though either
