last thing i saw on him says he is now leaning to usc
On Rivals Radio this morning, Bill King and Mike Ferrell were discussing Prater. Ferrell said Illinois was the current leader, with Oklahoma and UT bracketed very close behind. Then he said that Prater was also interested in some other schools that he had not visited yet, including USC.
He thought that Illinois 2009 season would determine a great deal.
Correction. It was Martavious Bryant many of the ESPN slugs said they would rather have than Prater. If my memory serves me correct a couple of the slugs said they would take Quantavious Leslie over Prater. They said Prater would only be good in a system with a big play speedster on the other end to take pressue off of Prater because he can't get separation.
I don't agree with them. I think it's USC, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Illinois in that order. From the comments I've seen out of Prater it sounds like he prefers the idea of playing in a pro style offense. He may very well end up at Illinois or Oklahoma but right now I think USC and UT are his favorites because of the offense they run.
This USC stuff is getting old. With the number and quality of recruits they are getting every single year, they have to be doing something fishy. Just let us have Prater. One guy isn't too much to ask.

I for one am interested to see what Auburn does in the next few years..
I don't think that's accurate. Prater wants to play in a pro-style offense and the allure of playing close to home doesn't mean anything to him. USC is his favorite school and it's clear across the country. I think it's USC with a slight lead over Oklahoma and then us. He's not really interested in Bama and I can't see him going to Illinois with a USC offer on the table. On Rivals Radio this morning, Bill King and Mike Ferrell were discussing Prater. Do you see Kyle Prater going to Tennessee?
Prater recently said he favored USC and that was when he was coming off an unofficial visit to Tennessee. Still, I really like the chances of Illinois here, and Oklahoma and Alabama are other powerhouse recruiting programs to keep a close eye on with Prater.
