'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

Kyle Prater to USC?? Reply
According to the man himself, after taking an unofficial visit to USC today, it looks like USC is in the driver's seat. Story is coming, I'll post it when it's up.

I agree with what was said earlier in this thread. It would be USC, Oaklahoma, and UT in that order for Mr. Prater. IMO

I think ole Pete is making it a point to not lose anyone to his protege that he wants. I would pretty much book Prater to USC.

I read about a year ago that Pete Carroll will not pay for a player that is commited elsewhere or is leaning towards another program for a official visit to USC. Of course they don't mind players paying their own way out there. I have heard alot of the California schools complaining about players just wanting to visit CA for free and keeping the school on their list so they can. After that they drop that school.

Now I am not saying that Prater is doing this but players do it. I saw last year alot of players that took 5 visits and one being to the west coast, but most the scouting services saw them in the south or east for their college career.

Most players don't like to travel that far from home or atleast want to play where their famalies and friends can see them. PAC-10 games usually air at 10pm on the east coast. I for one am usually burned out from watching CFB all day by than.

Again that is only 9pm for Illinois and Prater can pretty much dictate where he wants to go, but if USC was such a leader why not commit on the spot, especially graduating in December. The fact that he didn't and is still planning on visiting UT I think that bodes well for UT. If not Ut will end up with Cobbs. Either way you guys can't loose.

I don't see him cutting schools at this point. He wants to take officials this fall. Bama is out, but everyone else is still in the running. I would say USC, Illinois, and then us and Oklahoma in that order.

Benn is going pro after this year. Zooker is going to promise the world to Prater, just like he did with Benn.

It'd go against all he has been saying about staying close to home. But you never know with these kids.

"This was everything I came to see. I'll just say . . . amazing," the Hillside (Ill.) Proviso West product said. "USC is still the leader, nothing at all to change that."

"I'm going to be announcing my decision on Sept. 2," Prater said. "I think I've seen all I have to see. I'm still thinking about taking all my officials, but I want to make my commitment on the 2nd. So, I'm still trying to work that out, but obviously something is going to have to change."

Per Rivals... Turn the lights out, this party's over...
