'10 GA OLB Michael Taylor

His attitude kind of reminded me of Al Wilson. Not necessarily his playing style, but his personality on the field seems to be that of a leader. He is a fiery competitor with a "chip on his shoulder." Love it!

Can't give a guy any higher praise than that.

The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that he's only like 5'10. I know there have been others who have been good at that size, but its not really common. He's looked legit and everything, and hits a whole lot harder than his size should let him, but who knows.

I guess we'll find out.

Notre Dame might be giving him the full-court press. A buddy of mine is an Irish fan and says Kelly is going to make him a top priority. Apparently their rivals mod talked to Taylor and he sounded very interested in what ND has to offer.

He's supposed to be sending me a recap of the article as we speak.

ruh roh shaggy....

Well he's listed at 6'1". Have you seen him in person? If not then I wouldn't say that. I doubt they would give him 3 extra inches

"(Alford) said he enjoyed watching my tape," Taylor said. "The staff enjoyed watching my tape. When they come down here we're going to talk to them."

Taylor expects to receive a visit from Alford Tuesday and will discuss a potential fit at Notre Dame in greater detail. Taylor said if the relationship continues to grow an official visit could be in the works in the near future with National Signing Day right around the corner.

He still has a visit to UT here shortly. Hopefully that convinces him that this is where he needs to be to play his college ball.

A couple of things here, Brian Kelly is making a 3 star OLB his top priority? Irish fans won't like him pulling in a bunch of 3 star players.
And another thing, who is Alford, I have never heard of him, I am thinking that Monte Kiffin > Alford.

i was wondering how much more attention he would get after his performance at the UA game... well this sucks hopefully he stays with us!

Now that he's been courted you guys are already pulling out the 3-star thing? This guy just played like a 5-star blue chipper and you didn't expect this kind of thing to happen after he was named MVP?

This was bound to happen.

I hope we can hold onto him, definitely, but I never expected after this weekend for him to be a diamond in the rough anymore.

Definitely not a 3 star player. Monte knew this and that is why he was a priority early. Now he is enjoying the attention. Who wouldn't?

This is not a Willis situation.

I am ready to hear some good news about recruiting, everything since James committed has been negative.

I don't think we have a whole lot to worry about YET. He's still visiting here in 2 weeks, we are alot closer to home than ND, we have a better chance for early pt, and we have the relationship with him. Let's wait for something bad until we freak out...

When in the heck has that ever stopped the board from freaking out? I'm shocked that Paxil isn't advertising in the recruiting forum.

the alford man is visiting him tom.....and he is visiting on the 15th so maybe we will get the last word with him
