'10 GA OLB Michael Taylor

Seriously how does rivals only rate him as a 3*??????? Taylor was one of the first players I really paid attention too and watching his videos lead me to believe he is one of the best players in the country.

They kept saying his size hurt him. I think they will change their minds now. He will get his 4th star. Chad Simmons said he has been one of the top 3 LBs all week...

dont worry someone at Tennessee will corrupt him by giving him an Uzie and pound of weed.

Apparently, its standard issue when you sign the letter of intent. But it's so necessary. Have you guys been to Knoxville, TN? If you don't carry a piece on you at all times, well I just feel sorry for you. The level of violence in Knoxville is comparable to the riots in Tehran or Rio de Janeiro. Its life or death in dangerous Knoxville TN.

After watching a few lame commits to a team with a coach to be named later, it was great to see a Vol win the MVP!

Way to go Mike Taylor! Great game... nice interview afterwards as well.

Looking forward to seeing you on the Hill!

beast...his play reminds me of London Fletcher, awesome. Even better, he is well spoken. Welcome to Big Orange Country Michael.

Willie Williams from Carol City? If so, I saw him play alot, I have family and friends who to MCC prior to him and a couple who played with him, Coach Walt used him strictly pass rush he never showed great Linebacker skills. I always thought he was a bit overated coming outta High School.

Williams was known as a "cutback stopper". Every cutback run (that I've seen on video) on Michael Taylor, he's stopped. Williams had 4.5 speed and was fast off the edge but was better stopping misdirection plays and cutbacks in the run game. He was a terror. He was over-rated coming out of HS though---only because some analysts said he was the best LB they'd ever seen.... obviously an overstatement.

With the right coaching, which Taylor will get at UT, he has more upside than Williams as far as the NFL goes. But I think Michael Taylor has a similar amount of upside coming out of HS.

His attitude kind of reminded me of Al Wilson. Not necessarily his playing style, but his personality on the field seems to be that of a leader. He is a fiery competitor with a "chip on his shoulder." Love it!

Notre Dame might be giving him the full-court press. A buddy of mine is an Irish fan and says Kelly is going to make him a top priority. Apparently their rivals mod talked to Taylor and he sounded very interested in what ND has to offer.

He's supposed to be sending me a recap of the article as we speak.

“It’s their tradition,” Taylor began. “It’s Notre Dame, a great program every year. You have a great opportunity to go in and play great football, and get a great education, and education is something I value. They’re on TV, and I liked being on TV last Saturday, and I’d like to be on TV every Saturday.”

“Tennessee is a nice place for me, but recruiting is funny,” Taylor said. “These places are trying to use you for your abilities on the football field. You have to see what you can get out of them. I’m just going to have to see, and sit down and talk with my mom and coach about it, but for now, I’m committed to Tennessee.”

Some Irish fan on the MB on rivals has been posting that Kelly is going to sway Taylor.
I'll see it when I believe it.

You could go play for Kelly @ ND, who had a terrible D all this year, and play for a DC who isn't a big name or proven.

Then @ Tennessee you got Monte Kiffin. Enough Said.

Well, I guess that's what he was talking about then. That article doesn't sound too good but I'm not going to worry about it. Monte will lock up any doubt he has, if any, on the 15th.
