I will never second guess Monte, The D was solid with Reveiz and him being hurt this year hurt us in a bad wau. Im saying with the talent we may bring in, I expect he may fall down the depth chart next year. We do not have to have some weird kind of loyalty to a guy b/c he has played well for 5 games his junior year, if Luc knows the system he will start IMO, b/c the talent diff is not up for debate.
Sometimes what a player brings to the team is more than just on the field. Reveiz was the leader of the D as a first-year starter and both Monte and Lane couldn't say enough good things about him. They were bragging about him publicly before the injury. If he comes back 100% no freshmen is going to replace the leadership, knowledge, determination and heart of Reveiz. I don't think the Kiffins were giving him lip service when they said he was playing like a future All American. How in the world would a true freshmen be able to replace that?!? You're star gazing a bit too much and your vision has been affected apparently.
Nuke was going to lead the team in receiving, Bryce was going to be the starting tailback by the Florida game, and Chris Donald was going to dominate the SEC as a freshman.

This conversation eerily reminds me of all of the talk about Jerod Askew starting this year.
I am not knocking Bryce, I was just pointing out the fact that being an elite prospect does not guarantee a starting spot. There is no way luc would start over a healthy nick.In all fairness to Bryce, him not starting has more to do with Hardesty being a beast than it does Bryce not being ready.
Yea, no one (me included) thought Reveiz could hold the starting spot and it would be open for someone. Little did we know that the measly 3star King would be the best freshman LB...
I don't think Askew is on the same level as Luc though. Askew wasn't an EE like Luc will be either...

I always post stuff on the wrong thread...whoops.
Regarding Green, if it's being whispered in Florida that he's beginning to lean here then that means his "lean" is only picking up pace. As long as we play out the season well (TBD) and continue pressing him (practically a certainty) then I think Chaz may be one of our biggest upsets this recruiting season.
Parents - check
Early playing time - check
Strong relationship w/ coaches/players - looks to be so
Good position coach w/ good NFL prospects - based on half a season looks to be so
Momentum - currently check
He is an EE so this should work to our advantage considering we have made up ground so quickly and are currently rumored to be in the lead. Call it "Recruiting Inertia".
Please tell me what SEC teams could Reveiz start for?
I think we could see maybe 2 Olineman that are true freshman next year, we are that weak at the oline.
