'10 FL OT Chaz Green

There was also mention of TN wanting Elam so bad that they are putting Riley on the back burner until they know more on the Elam situation.

"Just to cover a few things.

First off everyone here has always treated with me with the red carpet treatment here. Secondly, If you would have asked me about four months ago where Chaz Green and Jeff Luc were going to would have been an easy choice in picking UF. However, Coach Gran and Coach O have made an astronomical push in the past two months for both of these guys. It's still a slight lead for both IMO but it goes to show you the work they've put into the state this year.

I also would say that Gran should get a gold star or something with the way he's recruited South Florida this year. I swear that guy has a tent planted in South Florida or something because he's there just about everytime I turn around. In talking with coaches around that area they have mentioned to me several times that no coach has recruited that area harder than Gran.

Anyway, you guys take care and I keep you informed as much as I possible can."

"I do concur that IMO UT leads for Chaz at this point."

"At this point the Vols are slightly ahead for Luc IMO but Elam will be a challenge."

I like what I'm reading here! That is some really good news fo sho! CEG and CEO are killer recruiter!

If Reveiz comes back from the knee injury 100%, I don't see Luc beating him out.

That may be true but Kiffin will put the best player on the field and Luc is as good as advertised then he just might. Reveiz is an awesome player and he will be hard to beat out.

One thing that would help Luc greatly is him being an EE. He would be working out and practicing in the winter and spring while Reveiz will still be rehabbing. He would have a big jump on Reveiz...

IMO Luc would start over him. NR would be moved to the outside or something. He would be on the field tho

Reveiz already knows the defense. Despite limitations with speed and size, he was playing GREAT before the injury.

The only reason i say that he is on the field is how important he was to this D. He was like the engineer. Leader...

There is no way Reveiz will start over Luc. Reveiz is an average LB, maybe below avg in the SEC. Would not start anywhere else in the SEC except maybe Vandy. Yes, he is smart but Luc has more talent in his index finger than Nick has in his whole body. Not to mention who knows if Reveiz will be back at his level after the surgery.

Our coaches disagree with you.

I know he played well, he might be a good fit, but seriously if Luc is as good as advertised I just dont see a former walkon starting over arguably the nation's top LB prospect. I admire Nick's performance this year, but MLB are going to rack up tackles just b/c they are in the middle of every play and close to the ball.

Reveiz was playing at an All SEC level. I do think Luc could be the perfect fit for a Monte MLB, but just because Reveiz walked on doesn't mean he's not the real deal.

Reveiz is basically a shorter version of Barrett Ruud. Ruud was a stud in Monte's D in Tampa, and is still a stud. Monte knows what he's doing fellas.

Chaz Green & Jeff Luc will both be starters for sure at UT next season if they commit.

If Nick Reveiz comes back from his injury next season 100%, I wouldn't expect anyone to start over him. Unless Luc plays another LB position I would expect him to be backup to Reveiz, a current captain and future leader of our defense.

It's an empty guarantee to guarantee a true freshmen OL starts, no matter who it is. With that being said, I would think Chaz Green is the most college-ready of our realistic high school OL recruits.
