It is certain that he will be a Vol, but I know no one will believe my word, so I have positive news that I gained from a source out in Cali.
Scroggins has a new leader at the moment that he chose during the last three days or so and he has been back and forth between two teams with the other being far behind. He is all Vol guys.
Let's forget about that and the visions that I have been having about him.
He has a chance to start as a true freshman and play an entire career in the SEC at a big time program under two proven college OC gurus in Kiffin and Chaney. Really, from a pure logical standpoint, the choice is obvious. Of course it's going to be tough growing up in Cali and being a USC fan, but whenj the chips fall, he has to do what's best for his career and that's not at USC. Not too mention the kid has a humongous ego. He is telling himself I can beat out those guys at USC and start. But that other voice is saying yeah, but what if...and you will be on TV almost every game immediately at UT with the recent SEC contracts. Also, the ide of possiblity waiting to star at Ut doesn't fit his mindset IMO. His father will say this and that, but it will be his decision ultimately.
"I made my decision last week," Scroggins offered. "I know there was a lot of talk about me announcing something at the seven-on-seven tournament in Oregon, but I want my dad to be at my announcement so that is why I am announcing it this week."
I am starting to like our chances more and more for some reason with his dad saying distance is not a factor and him not committing to SC with Bailey. If he picks UT on National Television on Wednesday, Kiffin will be the talk of SEC Media Days once again. :birgits_giggle:
Dude, he made his decision last week. So, I fail to see what a "source" can bring to the table that the prospect himself cannot. Here's a couple of direct quotes from Jesse himself....
So, where does it say he has been struggling??

That means absolutely nothing. You think he is going to say I have been flipping back and forth between two teams? No one says that on national TV.
