funny how most of VolNation is in meltdown and gave up on JS but USC fans dont think its over by any means. I think TN is actually the ones that lead and USC is the one that flip flops it at time cuz its close to home... anything can change from now and announcement but wanting national spotlight for this announcement and drumming up drama leading to this screams Kiffin and Coach O strategy more than Urban and Pete

I think it's because USC is a great school and close to his home. He went to their camp to win a scholarship and did nothing at ours. People can also go "see, we knew he wasn't coming here" if he picks USC or UF. If he picks the Vols then we can all go "what a relief." I don't think there is any coaching strategy going on right now, I think he is just weighing in his options.

Negative...sounds like a 17yr basking in all the attention HE is getting. One reason I'm ready to move on to the underdog prospect, who has been heating up....Rettig.
I'm good with Rettig and us doing one of two things...evaluating Cam Newton and the QB Baty (Palardy's teammate who transferred fro CA)...or trying to get Brunetti to switch.
I want Scroggin's dad to get his wish...watch his son's bottom glued to the bench at the Coliseum. Go 4 it Jesse...show the nation how bench sitting is done :good!:

"The rumors are like critics," Scroggins said. "They are never going to go away and everyone is going to continue to speculate. My goal is to take the next couple of weeks and work towards deciding what is the best school for me."

Bailey's attention has narrowed to three schools also, two of which are in common with Scroggins. Bailey said he's looking mostly at USC, Tennessee and Notre Dame. He, too, would like to commit around the same time as Scroggins, but Bailey also wants to see Notre Dame and Tennessee before making a final decision.

Based on what? He has indicated that he still intends to take visits here and to Notre Dame. You seem to suggest that his interest in us isn't great enough to warrant a visit which is simply not true according to his comments.

Larry's comments are based on the fact that he believes the ship is sailing away on Scroggins and both he and Bailey want to play together. The only two schools still in it for both that would make that possible are UT and USC. That's what he's thinking, IMO.

He could be basing it on the fact that Bailey isn't suppose to visit UT until the first week in August according to a June article on rivals, and Scroggins is suppose to be announcing July 25th. If Scroggins is leaning toward USC and picks USC, then Baileys unofficial visit might not happen in August. I am assuming it is an unofficial. I don't see him taking an official visit before the season starts but I could be wrong.
