There aren't that many good QB's in this conference. I am sorry. Is the SEC the best conference? Yes, It isn't close. But like I said besides Teabow and Snead. The conference is weak at the QB position.
You're talking about one season though... again, Stafford was just taken as the number one player in the draft. Also, maybe not having the best quarterbacks(stats wise) has something to do with getting the best defensive players in the country. Troy Smith was this unstoppable heisman candidate that got piss pounded by the SEC. His line couldn't pick up blocks. He couldn't out run the defensive ends. The SEC defenses might have something to do with it. Maybe if the Pac 10 actually played defense or the Big 10 had db's that ran faster than 4.5, their quarterbacks wouldn't look so great. How about the Big 12? Oklahoma set the record for points scored in a season. Texas Tech had one loss and their offense was ridiculous. Florida held Oklahoma and Bradford to 14. Ole Miss beat Texas Tech 47-34. The Big 12 has these great quarterbacks because they have terrible defenses. SEC quarterbacks have dominated recent drafts.
