just an opinion..

I treat comments by recruits to media the same as I treat video. I personally don't put a lot of stock in it. I leave that up to the experts to figure out (coaches).

If one goes back (Take Tajh Boyd for example) and reads all the stories and quotes on Rivals from Boyd throughout his recruitment, you are going to find many, many conflcits in his statements. Its just the nature of recruiting.

Things change from day to day in recruiting so a statement today, is not valid tomorrow.

Sometimes, GASP, recruits are misleading in their statements.

My stance is, since I don't know what part to believe day to day I don't pay a lot of attention to any of "what they say". I had to be burnt many times years ago before I understood to not pay attention to what they said. (Jeron Stokes from last year probably another decent example).

you can't have official visits before Septemebr 1 (I think date is correct). Certain they can't happen in August

It is amazing that some people are already turning on this kid. A few facts needs to be discused here. First of all the SEC is the best conference in the country. Hands down. Which means everygame each player has to bring their A game. Now the majority of the UT fans on here believes this kid could come here and start as a freshman and that is why he should commit to UT. If the UT fans actually believe this kid is that good than he easily could beat out any QB at USC. Sorry they might be good but the majority of the conference is weak. If a QB can come to UT( a school expected to be competing for conference championship and more each year) than there should be no problem for this kid to get playing time at USC.

That might apply at almost any other Pac 10 school...except USC. Overall as a team, they stack up with anyone.

i agree. i acknowledge that its a very small window. but lets say we get JS. currently, CR has only 2 offers. UT may or may not have a slight edge. if he decides to commit BEFORE his senior season, we have a legit shot at having him and likewise Scroggins. CR already stated that he likely will stick to his commit. so all we would have to do is fight real hard to keep JS with us up to NSD.

if CR decides to wait through his senior season before he commits, then we have a serious problem with him IMO. he will attract more attention than what he has so far im sure of it. even still, he could commit to BC if JS commits to us. i dont think he is SC bound if JS goes UT.

so as i said, its a long shot but it is not, not impossible.

Guys, we don't want any punishment to come down on USC. Anybody know who the Recruiting Coordinator was during the Reggie Bush years? Ed Orgeron. Anyone know who the Recruiting Coordinator was for the big names they have now like McKnight? Lane Kiffin...

I don't think they had anything do with agents in the locker rooms and boosters giving money to the players. That was all Petey in my opinion.

If you think USC doesn't have more talent at QB than 90% of this conference you are just wrong. Look at Mustain. He went from starting at Arkansas to be never heard of again. Corp was one of the top QB's to come out. Barkley was the #1 player for most of the year. If you take Teabow and Snead out of this conference we are pretty weak at QB.
