I was suprised by Hubbs thoughts as well. At the beginning of his interview he also stated that he doesn't think anybody really knows whats going on with his recruitment. And that when Jesse says everybody is equal right now, that nobody has anything to go on besides that.
Hubbs didn't like the fact that he is waiting till the end of July to decided, from UT's standpoint that all other QB's we have offered are all committed else where. So that makes him think that UT coaches think they have a really good chance at landing him or else they would have already offered someone else.
I think, when the kid sits down with his HS coach and goes over all the pro's and cons, UT comes out on top. This staff is betting the farm on him, whereas USC and UF are fine with or without him.
With him enrolling in Jan. and on campus for Spring practice, He WILL be the starter next fall. 4yrs at UT or 1-2 at USC or UF is too big an obstacle to overcome in the final analysis, IMO.
I don't want to say this...but I had a nightmare last night where I was watching the broadcast of Jesse announcing and the hat he put on had blue in it.....ukeb:
You should see your physician....Ambien will help take care of nightmares....
I hope Hubbs is right on this one. I like our chances alot better if it is us and FL. I don't see him going to UF. He has family ties to both USC and Tennessee. The more we hear the more I start to think it is UT. Seems like something Kiffin would do as far as saying commit at the camp it will give us some headlines. We beat USC and UF for a recruit. Build that up as much as possible. Also the lack of action from UT on other recruits is telling as well as hearing the talk about USC offering Retig or Bray. To me it is starting to look like we may end up with him. At least I hope?
staff is very concerned about Florida
Has UF made up ground recently, or were they running this close with USC and UT all along? From all the comments I have seen posted by Sroggins, USC and UT seemed to be getting the most attention.
Florida has been right there all along.
Comments by recruits cannot always be taken as the truth.
Richardson left here still committed to Florida and was told by our staff to continue to talk that way.. ended up with us.
As I always advise people, only about 50% of what is stated to media by prospects is accurate. Determining the 50% that is accurate, will drive a fan crazy.
I rarely read the reports on prospects. Littered with all the same comments no matter what school they are discussing. How can it all be true? Maybe they say nothing at all about their favorite??
