OMG finally someone on a Vols message board that speaks my language. Over on the VQ, I try to use the same approach to tackle stupidity like "there are more 2 and 3 stars in the Super Bowl than 4 and 5...therefore stars don't matter", but it doesn't seem to take. How can anyone think they are...
Haha I noticed that immediately as well. A few years removed from systemic pedophilia complete with many many coverups on the way to exposure.....so yeah their brand being ranked #3 is certainly warranted.
I'd say there really isn't that much of a talent difference between kickers at the Div. 1 level. Every kicker has demonstrated enough skill in the past to make it that far. I think the main differences are mental, with other factors such as trust/reliance on your holder, etc. coming into play...
Even though it's a relatively new idea/trend, I think the "coach in waiting" is very interesting from a strategy perspective. You benefit from being able to retain someone your school has identified as a high calibur talent who otherwise might jump ship for a different head coaching...
Oh no I totally understand we had 13 players on the field. The whole thing just seems strange to me.
1)Aren't they suppossed to blow the play dead before the ball is hiked when there are too many players on the field or is that not true? Doesn't that prove the refs initially had no idea...
While that may be true, they also don't reverse the game being over too often. I think the real point here is that the refs missed the penalty and blew the whistle signalling the end of the game. Only after did some backup official up in the pressbox (anyone else notice how vague people are in...
I think we've all been spoiled by Kiffin and now everyone expects the staff to be everywhere at all times...
If you look at the makeup of the current staff, you will notice that alot of them are COACHES and not RECRUITERS. Maybe they realize that the TN brand is not hot right now and that...
I'm surprised someone didn't post this little nugget abuot Dunkley from VQ last night.
Apparently a poster was hanging out with/ran into Willis, Miller, and Dunkley outside of Gibbs last night. Dunkley had a great big smile on his face the whole time and told the kid to watch out for some...
Tider, I'm certain most of us would agree that Ingram is the best back in the SEC. But I definitely think Hardesty is a close second. Remember Hardesty is doing all this behind an Offensive Line with 2 walk-ons and a redshirt Freshman. Bama's OL is MUCH better than TN's.
I can't believe our stupid Special Teams...
And I'm a little upset we haven't put the hammer down and finished these fools off. 28-0 would've been over. I just hope these mistakes don't come back to get us...
Remember a couple of years ago when we were up like 28 or 35 at halftime? And...
