In 2007 Steele was demoted from DC to position coach by Saban at Alabama. Then Saban promoted Smart. Then Steele took the job at Clemson in 2008. That was when he was demoted:ok:

Well said. It seems to me that all of UT's troubles have come from all the coach's actions and not the AD. Most fans agree it was time for Fulmer to go. No one here wants to see Pearl go no matter what he is guilty of. Kiffin was only hired because of him bringing Monte, and no one expected...

I think he will be fine. I'm sure the position at this level is more complex than high school. The defense as a whole would benefit from some more tackling drills. Art Evans is the one who lives and mostly dies with the arm tacking crap. We just need time and more talent.

Let me help you. When Saban and company began at LSU they were up and coming. So, the Saban name didn't mean much. Check out the recruits in 2002 for LSU, which are riddled with 2 and 3 stars. They win the 03 championship on evaluated talent not on stars. We have folks on here falling to...
