I can't wait until

I think he will be fine. I'm sure the position at this level is more complex than high school. The defense as a whole would benefit from some more tackling drills. Art Evans is the one who lives and mostly dies with the arm tacking crap. We just need time and more talent.

To be honest, I've been pretty surprised at how good Teague has played, all things considered.

Teague played CB/S primarily as a sophomore. He was at QB his junior and senior seasons. He only played defense if it was close late in the game or when HC played a speedy team like Memphis Melrose or Hillsboro. He'll be fine at corner. Just give him time. I find it funny that you call him out for lack of tackling when he's actually one of the few people in the secondary using his arms instead of his shoulders.

I agree. Going from Slot Receiver to #1 corner is a pretty big jump in one year.

This is something to look at. He is covering the other team's #1 wideout for most of the game. I think he is much better than Art Evans and is our best corner already. Like someone already said, the entire secondary is difficult to evaluate right now because the QB gets to drop back without a thought of getting pressured.

You are kidding, right? He is the only one in the secondary that has shown any ability to wrap people up and bring them down.

Kinda what I was thinking!! YOu can tell he is fresh at the position, but I think he is learning fast and doing pretty well considering the lack of pressure our Dline puts on the qb.
