I don't think it matters for Calipari, Calhoun, K, Roy Williams or Bill Self. I remember that same argument from Kentucky fans with Tubby. It didn't work out that way AT ALL.

I would argue it's not nearly as attractive as we would like to think. It's just not an easy place to win with Kentucky and to a lesser degree Florida. As good as Bruce was, he still couldn't do great with Kentucky. That was even when Kentucky had some weak coaching going on with Tubby's last...

I'm not serious about Pat BUT I'm making the point of we are out of control with the possibilities. We need to be realistic...Pitino, Knight, Frank...not to mention a list of coaches who are all at mid-level basketball programs already. Why would they make the lateral move???? They wouldn't....

Pat Knight would be a decent hire for UT....not great but realistic. Heck of a lot more realistic than Bob.

Probably but he would take ANY NBA head job. It's not easy to convince a guy t come to a college that's getting hammered by probation when he hopes to be an NBA head.

Frank is a NBA guy. He wants to be an NBA head. Why would he stop at Tennessee? I believe we need to refocus our efforts to smaller fish. We are not a program that will land a big name coach from a school. We are mid-level just like many of the other schools. We could go higher but it takes time.

Larry Brown is AWESOME! However, he will never coach UT. The hardest part about all this is the fan base general lack of common sense in searching for a coach for a program like UT.

Sure Huggs is decent but HE IS NOT COMING TO UT. First it's his alma mater. Second, it's a higher level basketball program than Tennessee.

He shouldn't go anywhere. He's grossly underachieved. Harris should go. He will need a couple years to be a significant contributor but he should leave.

We will get a decent hire. That's it....there will be no "Big name." It will be much like hiring Pearl. We will know 3 years from now if it was a good hire or not.
