"I'm definitely looking forward to finishing out my senior season and coming back next year. It's not 100 percent settled, but that's how I feel right now."

That's some good news. I was really disappointed with his performance and mentality the last couple weeks, but Scotty is a good player and person and we will definitely need him IF he comes back.

Also heard, that he will take a lot for foreign language classes next year in order to learn the turkish language because that is where he will play pro ball.

No way. Let him go. Like I said, he's a cancer to this team. He has the physical skills to be the best player on the floor every night but wears his feelings on his sleeves and acts like a baby. With this sapose to be "his team" he showed zero leadership this year and that hurt us a lot. The guy still hasn't learned jr varsity dribbling and more than likely none of that will change if he stays. He can be explosive at times but he's been more of a let down than anything else.

We'll see what he thinks in the next few weeks/months.

I think he should come back, and i hope Tobias comes back too, but lots of "stuff" to be decided soon.

I guess its "lets go lady vols" now, huh

They both should ..... they can only improve their game.. Maybe they feel they have unfinished business and are embarrased about how the season went. If one leaves it would be TOBIAS . He is by far the better player

He shouldn't go anywhere. He's grossly underachieved.

Harris should go. He will need a couple years to be a significant contributor but he should leave.

where would he go. No NBA scout, but I have seen enough to send him to D league.
He is terrific some games and gets bothered by inferior competition others. He needs to come back for a better opportunity.

Redundant foreign language joke is redundant.

I think Hopson will play in the NBA, but your post is funny. Like somebody said a few weeks ago he has some 5 star days and some 2.5-3 star days. I think the NBA is more suited for his game and no that game is not dribbling the basketball off your knee and having charges called on you.

No, PLEASE, No!!! I have to watch UT basketball - it's in my blood - but I'm afraid I'll gouge my eyes out if I'm forced to watch him for another year. No heart, no basketball IQ, no concept of hustle - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE move on to Europe!!!

I don't believe you could swing it anyway to make a difference. I just don't think he's a good guy to have around when you talk about team chemistry. If he's your leader and starts shrugging his shoulders and shows his emotions like he does, what does that say to the other players?

How is the team's leading scorer and first team SEC player a gross underachiever?

And being the leading scorer and first team SEC player got us where? Beat down in multiple home games and bounced by a horrible michigan team by 30 in the 1st round of the tourney

I personally would like to see Scotty under the right coach. Clearly Pearl wasn't the right guy to push Scotty's buttons. I would love to see him for one more year.Three weeks ago some of you basketball wizards were saying he is better than Lofton. If he can inspire that praise, let's see what he could do in a fourth year on rocky top!!!

Yes.

I would say today's result is an indication of what you get with this team when Scotty doesn't play.

I agree with you here. When he doesnt play well we don't perform well. I just don't see what makes people think he will change his ways when he's been the same for 3 seasons? Being the best player on this team, he obviously feels an obligation to be the leader and he isn't. He's so inconsistant that he's a non factor most of the time.

I don't think he's even close to realizing his potential. That's why I think he's an underachiever.

Scotty's ability is better than his performance on some nights. I believe the term "grossly underachieved" should have been shelved somewhere around the end of last season. The guy has been really good this year with a handful of notable exceptions.
