    Alabama does not play the same game as Lousiana-Monroe... except when they do (and every program does at some point). Inevitably smaller schools are going to have less shots at the big boys in the future, but I think they should still have some opportunity to play the best. This is crazy...

    They are similar to Iowa and play pretty fast with length and athleticism. We should bully them down low though. We'll be the stronger team and I think they'll struggle to score in the half-court offense just like Iowa. I expect us to dictate the tempo.

    Looks like he put up. You can credit that win to the style of play Martin has instilled for this team. We played awful on offense for 35 minutes and still won b/c we were stronger rebounders, drew tons of fouls, and absolutely dominated Iowa's half court offense. Those are Cuonzo trademarks. I...

    Coming into the game I figured the first 10 minutes were the danger period for us while SC was still somewhat fresh. Been a good start. This lead should only grow in the 2nd half when their legs get tired after three straight days of action. Stokes and Maymon can feast even more then.

    What if Pearl were 100% out of the picture?

    Do I want Pearl back? Yes! Do I think Martin can be successful here? Yes. To be honest Pearl was just a lot more fun. That's what I miss the most. I think the wins and NCAA appearances will come for Martin with a little more time, but the energy and enthusiasm isn't the same.

    Martin is very active on the sideline tonight. I'm more inclined to like the guy when it appears he gives a damn. He needs to keep pushing the team and not allow them to lose their focus. Good job so far.

    I know this is just a bs exhibition, but this team is going to win A LOT of games this year. The mental focus seems to be there from minute one. If our bigs can avoid fouling out w/ the new emphasis on contact we will be extremely hard to score on and beat.
